Some Resistance fans have gained access to the beta early and have been exploring the beta for a few days now. Insomniac's Jame's Stevenson has addressed some of the user feedback.
I didn't get a beta code. I would like one.
Once again IG fails to make a true sequel to R:FOM. Instead, they managed to steal the COD dev code and replace with an alien theme. However, the thief stole alpha code and it was damaged in the rain which is why it has crappy framerate and overall crappier product. Map is dull too. One flat area with 2 buildings, IG? Try harder.
Resistance has more visual affects than COD with more things going on screen other than grenades or a chopper.
There's only 1 or 2 things resistance tookmfrom cod and nine of them are major 1, kill streaks. Yes you get killstreaksnhowever the big difference is the kill streaks you get don't do any killing for you, they assist younin getting killsmbut dont actually kill unlike codmkillstreaks, so IG are keeping the game balanced. 2. Smaller games (8v8). After doing 20v20 in RFoM and 30v30 in R2, IG are doing something different with their multiplayer. Unlike void which keeps the same formula every game, insomniac are varying some things and offering change in each one of theirngames in multiplayer and bringing down the size tona smaller number for the first time in the series is one of this changes. Resistance looks more original and fun than cod for my money, just my opinion but at least their giving us variation throughout the seriesmand in the game
Whew, harsh complaints. If the cloaking is anything like Crysis 2 (which I liked at first but eventually hated) then they need to remove it. I can see how shields would be a pain as well. To ME, the graphics look GREAT. I guess I need to play it myself to see.
