Killzone 2 deserve the spot 1# IMO.

I have played Killzone 2 and from start to finish and Killzone 2 is by far the best AI i have ever seen on a console in this gen! They go for cover when you fire at them, they flank..a lot, they grenade you out of cover a lot.

halo reach had better AI than kz2 or 3. to top it off reach can handle 40(unscripted) enemy AIs on screen while kz2,3 can only handle about 15. if there is anything good about halo its not the multiplayer, its the AI

Killzone 2's AI is better than Reach trust me. KZ2's AI was so good that they dumbed it down for KZ3 since a large portion of people who had the game couldn't beat the game period let alone ELITE mode.

qwertzy, please tell me your joking

Both of the AI are very good and smart indeed.
I got a hard time killing those a&$holes in killzone 2!
And to be fair, you won't see the true cleverness of halo AI unless you put the difficulty on "legendary"

Its AI drive u off the cliff.

Play kz2 on hard or elite. Try skirmish just for taste.

Easily in top 3 in history and im gamer for over 15 years.

ipe, friendly AI in Halo is terrible, but enemy AI is pretty good.

Killzone 2's AI is great. They take longer to kill because they stay in cover and don't try anything stupid. But I'd say close quarter combat against Killzone enemy AI is really simple because they don't fight back. In Halo 3/Reach, if you try to melee a Brute or Elite they will fight back and can kill you.

Higher numbers of AI does not mean it's better AI. Usually when you add more and more AI characters you end up having to sacrofice some AI complexity.

What people are talking about is the complexity of the AI and how life-like it behaves.

Killzone 2 has the best AI hands down. I actually thought I was fighting real people when I played. They dont just stay in one spot and fire; They actually try to get behind you and move around in clever ways to throw you off.

KZ2 Bots in Warzone looks like some Human players! Sometimes they act like there is a player behind that bot.

lol agreed
Playing KZ2 against bots on elite difficulty is really challenging.

It's been a long 25 years with a ton of great games.

I think my generation (and when I say my generation, I'm saying the gamers that grew up on Atari, NES, Sega, Turbo-Grafx 16, etc.) really saw games mature over the years. I remember playing Super Metroid for the Super NES, thinking to myself games can't get any better than this, but boy I was wrong.

bloodybutcher2576d ago

i remember playing Bruce Lee on atari...or Monkey Island on pc...then i got looong break at gaming so when i got to play RE2 i was amazed :D

Goeres2577d ago

KZ2 got great AI and while KZ3 got a nice AI too it felt kinda dumbed down.

Mario4life2577d ago

Still think halo 1 seems to hold up well today

I do love the Helghast Ive never had to fight so hard just to gain a few feet. The game forces you to fight if you stay in one place to long you'll be torn to pieces
