Mass Effect 3: Pulling at your heartstrings and your trigger finger

Humanity. That's what defines the final game in the Mass Effect trilogy. The struggle to save humanity - and everyone else in the galaxy - from the Reapers is its overarching theme. only reason its pulling at my heart strings is cause i watched as a company destroy a perfectly good RPG

Another Mass Effect 3 article and here it is Cpt_kitten again with his "Mass Effect 3 isn't an RPG" claims. The others will arrive with their non-existent proofs to back him up soon, I'm sure. Anyway, can't wait for the game to come out. Bioware will teach some people again that making an RPG doesn't mean adding 500 points to spend to your skills or having a complicated inventory/loot system.

Well thats an rpg for you. That is literally what an rpg is. Mass effect is a shooter now, no getting past that. Not that its a bad thing, but its a far different game than mass effect 1, and has too few rpg elements to be called an rpg if anything else gets taken out.
Either way i cant wait for it, and i hope it lives up to the predecessors, but i definitely would like for it to be more rpg-like without taking out the shooter action brought into 2.
