I saw this in action the other day and it really wasn't that bad. 360 looks to have a slight advantage, which is pretty common for an unreal engine 3 game.

Unreal engine 3 has come along way

I don't understand how all the PS3 games that are reviewed in LOT are washed out bright pieces of crap. I have a Sony Bravia and all I have to do is push the orange "Theater" button on my remote and the games look as clean and crisp as the XBOX 360 screens are showing. Do these people have no understanding of how TV's work and that you can edit settings to help with the wash out and brightness? Just wondering...

youre missing the point.

these LoT comparisons take the TV out of the equation - theyre how the video game looks as it is outputted from the actual console, before it gets to a tv.

they do this because its the most accurate way to do it, since no 2 tvs give the same picture.

Yeah, these are screen captures. They capture the image direct before the television even gets the signal.
Not everyone has a nice tv that will polish up the picture for them, so these kind of comparisons are great.
I don't know about you, but once I calibrate my tv I don't want to have to touch anything for my games to look good.

There seems to be a difference in resolution. But that could be due to the contrast. This is why i like Digital foundry comparisons better is because they adjust the 2 to the best calibration possible then compare them. Because with my TV none of my PS3 games look grey and washed out.
