GameSpot Reviews Super Mario Galaxy: 9.5/10 and Editor's Choice Award

Here is the game that Wii owners have been pining for, a game that has tons of appeal for both the less experienced player and the longtime gamer. A game that deftly combines accessibility and challenge, all wrapped up in a package that's both deep and addictive. Super Mario Galaxy is all of this and more. It is simultaneously one of Mario's best adventures and a game that doesn't require fandom of the portly plumber's previous engagements to appreciate. The sheer quality of Mario Galaxy's wonderful level designs, tight controls, and brilliant presentation is the sort of thing that just about anyone who loves gaming should be able to appreciate, and that many will fall head-over-heels for.

Not neccessarily. World in Conflict was a good game but no where near COD4 and BioShock but GameSpot gave it 9.5 and gave COD4 and BioShock a 9.
Thankfully SMG is a real hot game and deserves the high 9.5.

Great review from Alex Navarro. SMG definitly deserves a high score and a great reviewer (Still hate GameSpot though).

Also, is it just me or GameSpot's screenshots seem a bit dark?

right on target. i thing gamespot look at how mainstream a game can be and sometimes they overlook what the game really brings to the videogame industry. i can say they totally overlooked what bioshock and call of duty 4 brings to the industry and gave them a 9.0. the one that i agreed is the orange box review, totally deserves the 9.5 review.

Also, agree with Tony. GameSpot gave a did a bad jon with COD4 and BioShock.

Back to topic, review says the game pushes he Wii hardware and yet they didn't give it the technical graphics award/medal. Isn't tech graphics based on console's power and in this case SMG is beyond Wii's hardware.
But hey, it's the idiot GS who forgot to give the art design medal to COD4.
