Crunch is Addictive, says 'EA Spouse'

Most of you are probably familiar with 'EA Spouse' (Erin Hoffman) who back in 2004 lambasted publisher Electronic Arts over their labor practices. Hoffman and her husband Leander Hasty were involved in the successful class action overtime lawsuit filed against EA, which cost the publisher $14.9 million.

Now Hoffman has put together an interesting piece about the crunch phenomenon in the game industry, ironically titled "Inside Job: Why Crunch is Awesome." With the all-important holiday shopping season basically upon us, developer crunch is peaking as teams rush to get their much anticipated titles...
