OXM writes: "Our all-new issue contains the world's first review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Xbox 360. And guess what? We love it, offering a very rare 10/10 score."
Replace 'will' with 'could'. It's obviously a great game, but calling it GOTY after only 3 reviews (and it's still nearly a month away until it hits retail) is a bit premature. We'll just have to wait and see.
I hear ya bro. I've been yelling GOTY since I tried the leak.
I'm disagreeing for the leak comment.
@Kran But that really wasn't even the point of his comment...
it's leak Beta not a FULL GAME or anything.
How many people here actually got to play the original? Many peeps consider it the best PC game ever. So this isn't exactly a shock. Cant wait for this...I wonder how much better the PC version is than the 360? Or does the 360 look pretty close, graphics wise, to a mid range rig?
@thegood33 Honestly the graphics are the weakest part of the game, on pc and other versions. They seem to have put most of their time in making the game play great and they nailed it. Tried the demo leak and the pc UI is spot on so it doesnt feel like a console port. The actual game play is just way too damn fun and has more of that classic fps feel instead of this new trend that has been in many of our fps games lately. I was really uninterested about the game until just the other day but now that I know it's a worthy successor it's a day 1 for me.
Definitely going to be one of the best games of 2011. I'm not sure about the premature GOTY shouts... It has some stiff competition with Skyrim, Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, Gears 3, Arkham City, RAGE, and Battlefield 3 coming out.
Damn it. I had forgotten about this game. Now my wallet will take another hit.
You forgot? wtf?
yes he forgot.
I'm confused didn't future publishing already give this an 8/10 in OPM. OXM and OPM are made by the same company.
not reviewed by the same people.
The PS3 review wasn't an 8/10 for technical issues, it was actual real cons the reviewer found that took away from the experience. I wonder why the 360 reviewer didn't have any real faults to give. I would assune those at Future would compare. They are a multiplat journalism company, but with separate teams.
And not the same platform!
Hmmm.... I was goingto buy this anyway but seriously who cares about game of the year. Just have fun playing all the games we get
Nice way to kick things off as fall game releases nears. Fps and RPGs galore!
Rather amazed to see a 10/10 score this is what Square Enix needs considering their previous games made and published by them have been of lower quality. Also amazed that they managed to pick up the publishing rights to this game as well. I already have my augmented edition on pre-order however the one above that doesn't seem to offer that much more considering the price is nearly double.
Eidos made it.
Square Enix OWN Eidos
@Grip Well... and what? What about that? SE didn't tell them what to do.
thats right, ive been saying it for 2 years now, this will be GOTY kids
I'm getting the game but I wouldn't call it GOTY when there's other contenders.
There's no chance any of these games will win game of the year because skyrim will crush all competition and excrete on their remains.
high scores turn you guys on.. I see y'all discussing GOTY now. LOL
hold your horses OXM gamespot has the final word every one else is amateurish.
Gamespot didn't give AAA scores to Deus Ex 1 oe Deus Ex Invisible War.
I like Gamespot, but there are some Authors sometimes doesn't make sense.
gamespot? you actually trust their reviews when we all know that they are corrupt? remember the kane & lynch incident?
getting it day 1:-)
-Liking the Reviews, but i'm getting VERY impatient, although Lost Odyssey is doing a great job of tiding me over until August 23rd! :D
Deus Ex 1 was the most memorable game I ever played. I'm happy to know this is a worthy sequel. Not perfect- since it lacks the wide open environments and it's too yellow- but it beats 99% of other games out there.
I remember buying Deux Ex but the cd stopped working so I never really got a chance to play it. Do you think its aged well and is worth playing today?
The visuals are obviously dated, but the game is still well worth playing today. In terms of gameplay it is still unrivalled even now in a lot of respects, especially the amount of freedom you have to tackle the missions and objectives. It's the best game on pc in many peoples eyes, including mine.
Cheers for that. Gonna get it now
Can't wait. Less than a month til release.
Though I am grateful that one of my most beloved franchises is receiving great scores , I planned on picking this up day one since it was announced.
