buying new just doesn't even make sense anymore. Thats why I haven't bought an Ipad yet, the Ipad 3 comes out a year or so later with more features, and to top it off, even cheaper than the first iPad. Unless you got tons of money, then it just seems like an insane gesture to buy anything new anymore.

i 100% agree with you nintendo guilty of this too. DS,DSLite,DSi,DSiXL,and now 3DS come on.

MintBerryCrunch2426d ago

i have no idea what the difference is between any of those with the exception of the 3DS

Seferoth752425d ago

PSP,PSP2000,PSP300,PSP g, Vita etc.. NIntendo isnt the only one guilt of doing that.

fatstarr2425d ago (Edited 2425d ago )

@Seferoth75 thank you,

And dont forget the playstation phone... sony is just as guilty at least nintendo threw in extra features.

notice this one as well

Nintendo Wii 2006-2011 no change.
Sony> ps3 20, 40, 60, 80 or 160 GB. Ps3 slim
Microsoft xbox 360, all the revisions new xbox 360...

"salary reduction for Iwata along with other executive"

Yes because ¥68 million ($0.77m) a year cant fit in his bank account anymore -_-

These big CEO's make me sick and Nintendo for going all casual this gen makes me hate them even more.

Edit: I see your point but the reason why those big bankers did not take a pay cut and were spending money like it was rice is because the money did not belong to them but belong to other people.

Iwata on the other hand is part owner of Nintendo and if the Big N sinks then he sinks as well.

TruthbeTold2426d ago

Hey, I respect the guy for taking a 50% pay cut... The other executives took a 30% one. I don't see execs in the U.S. doing that. During the bailout period they were flying private jets and taking limos to the meetings until people got pissed off. Then the bankers went ahead and paid out fat bonuses with bailout money...

Boletarian2426d ago

At least he took a damn pay cut.

In America when the corporations mess up and cripple the entire global economy, the CEOs beg the government for bailouts, get 800 billion USD to save their companies and their workers, and instead they reward themselves with multi-million dollar bonuses. Iwata's 50 percent paycut is a sign of humility and honor, two virtues that the Japanese still possess despite the spread of Western capitalism.

Bloody fool microsony. How dare you comment here.

As of June 30th 2010:

"Sega Sammy Holdings CEO Osamu Satomi earns ¥435 million a year (US$4.9 million)
Sony CEO Howard Stringer earns ¥816.5 million a year (US$9.2 million)
Sony CFO Nobuyuki Oneda earns ¥164.39 million a year (US$1.85 million) (Includes all of Sony)
Namco Bandai Holdings president Kazunori Ueno earns ¥137 million a year (US$1.5 million)
Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada earns ¥240 million a year (US$2.7 million)."

The fact that they are 'only' making $750k a year shows that they are not the greedy type like Sega. Sony exec makes alot, but they are like microsoft, they have more product lines, not just video games.

Oh and while I'm at it "Meanwhile in the US, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick received US$3,151,008 in compensation, as well as netting nearly US$40 million from stock sales."

Bobby is defenitely hurting from used game sales, and it shows. /sarcasm

Haha, I thought you said tablets... That would have been kinda funny.

DNAbro2426d ago

It's interesting to know that the people at the highest positions are getting pay reductions.

whitezagetsu712426d ago

Wow looks like theyre really banking on the WII U

Micro_Sony2426d ago

I dont think the Wii U will have the Wii effect.

MS E3 show is proof of that. All hardcore gamers including my self hated MS show but the did exaclty what they wanted to do and they have succeeded and when the 2nd wave of Kinect games hit you will see what MS goal for E3 was.
