Head to Head: Are Downloadable Games as Good as Retail Games?

Downloadable games fight for respect. In the past, consumers dropped only a few dollars towards games they prescribed as cheap entertainment. But developers never back down from a fight. People are excited for downloadable games. They take simple concepts, push story and fun gameplay mechanics and add a sprinkle of innovation. And all you have to do is put down a few dollars.

Some are. What really helps is the price. Battlefield 1943 is an excerllent game but if it was full price (£40-£50) then it wouldn't have the content to justify it
