Breath of Death Vii: The Beginning Review | WTG

Role-playing games define video games as a whole more so than any other genre. The ability to immerse yourself into the character, love and loathe the characters that surround you gives you a sense of gratification unattainable by many other genres. In this prequel released on April 22, 2010 by Zeboyed Games to Cthulhu Saves the World (12/30/2010), you are Dem, the Skeleton Knight. And with the aid of your allies, you must defend your world in this 2D turn based RPG. (Breath of Death VII: The Beginning, PC, Xbox 360) 4/5

Nice. I especially like the Castlevania reference.

Too bad this is only on Xbox. I do think it's transparently dishonest that they make their "points" slightly more than a penny. As if they think people are so stupid as to believe they are spending less than they are, or hoping they will spend more by believing you are no longer using money but some fake kind of credit that isn't really worth anything.

I would barely call this the 16 bit era, more like the 8 bit era. It's reminiscent of the first shining force (16 bit and nicely rendered). Aside from the cool cult game references, it doesn't have much appeal to me.
