Captain America: Super Soldier Review (GPT)

GPT: "We all know history of games based on movies. There aren’t exactly a lot of great movie-based video games that have graced our consoles over the years. There are even fewer titles to successfully come out of movies that were based on comic books. Superman Returns, Sega’s The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man titles immediately come to mind as some of the stinkers to attempt and fail at successful transitions from the silver screen to gaming. For every fifteen bad games based on movies to see release, there is one Spider-Man."

I give up on Marvel and Sega partnered games.

Put your mind to rest, read my posting below yours. It is rather encouraging.

Side Note- The picture Avatar next to this article, that is the Wii version. LOL

"We still set the story in the same region and time period as the movie, but we were free to tell our own story. We created the game-flow first and then Christos Gage came on-board and wove an awesome story into the existing flow, adding a roster of villains from the comic books." - Next Level Games

Gameinformer- 7.5

they shouldve named the Wii version something else because the PS3/360 version is much better

I was just going to post the same comment. Clearly the Wii version has major issues. I picked this up on rental for the 360 and am quite surprised at how much fun the combat is. Its no game of the year but it does a good job of curbing super hero addiction while you wait for Batman.

movie based games are always horrible that should be a given, there are very rare times that a movie based game is good...don't understand why people don't understand this is how its been forever

The only thing this game had in common with the movie was the time it took place and one of the costumes. That is it, read an interview comment from Next Level Games.

the game was made FOR the movie. thats the point. These games could be quite awesome if made right, but are always rushed to be made in time for the movie.

We should have some great superhero games, but nobody is willing to put real time and money behind any.

Batman games are getting better, thats about it.

This game is not bad. Definitely not a 4. It's actually the best Marvel game Sega has made, though they didn't have much to live up to. There has only been one part of the game that was dumb and unresponsive, but other than that, this game is a lot of fun if you go in with the right expectations. 6 at worst.
