Ten Most Creative Video Game Logos

Video games as art may be a debatable subject, but even game logos themselves can be expressed artistically. GammaLounge highlights ten of the most creative looking video game logos and they're not all about Final Fantasy! Can you think of any better ones? (BlazBlue, Eat Lead: The Return Of Matt Hazard, Final Fantasy X, Forza Motorsport 3, MadWorld, Nintendo DS, PS2, PS3, Retro, The Last Story, The World Ends With You, Wii, Xbox 360)

The N from the N64 logo was pretty sweet. In terms of game logos... None spring to mind, other than these.

You have to give it to the FF logo's. I actually look forward to the logo every time they release a new game.

Yeah, me too. The Final Fantasy logos are just art in themselves, to be honest. The logo for FFXIII was probably the most interesting to me due to the nature of the story and what it represents.

I always find them to be really creative and colourful, I hope they continue to use the same style for as long as they keep pumping out new Final Fantasy titles!

Tekken logo comes to mind. Classic, and is used in every iteration.

... Most of them are Japanese games :) I was expecting BlazBlue, it really is a complex logo
Actually, any JRPG comes to mind, few examples are Gust, NIS, Banpresto, Monolithsoft, Atlus, Falcom... I can't remember anymore companies lol
Anyways, Japanese developers have a different view of the games they make than other countries. Their view on the art is quite noticeable. They sometimes even have famous or popular mangaka to work on their game or hell they have their own artist JUST for them! It truly is amazing...
... I'm sorry I don't have any fantastic comment about western games, since I mostly play Japanese games. It's not that I hate those kind of games, I just don't know much about them...

There is a good mix of western and Japanese stuff in there I think, but to be honest I wasn't actually thinking of western and Japanese art styles when I was looking at logos! You're probably right though, Japanese art seems to be more detailed and colourful, especially with RPG's obviously.

Western game logos seem to be more thoughtful or conservative in my opinion, but both are pretty good at style and metaphor.
