At this year’s Game Developers Conference we unveiled, a new software application that runs on the PS3 system and gives researchers, students, and programmers access to PlayStation Move’s technology for developing apps beyond traditional gaming — physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, or education. enables anyone with a PS3 to experiment with PlayStation Move and create new applications using a PC, the PlayStation Move motion controller, the PlayStation Eye camera, and the PS3 system.

I can believe they are charging for this?

Isn't Sony's goal to get as many people working on PS Move to get some PR and market penetration?

KingSlayer2464d ago (Edited 2464d ago )

I think their goal is to get as many *useful* applications created by the education/sports/physical therapy sectors. Garage dev? Buy it like you would if you were coding iOS apps.

EDIT: I didn't disagree with you btw. There's undeniable logic behind your statement.

This is quite cheap tbf. For dev tools. I can get it free anyway as I am a student studying, learning in this area (IT/games development/programming all that kinda stuuf))

I'm sure this isn't the sort of comment you left on similar articles about certain 'other' peripherals, where it's the same case...

$99.99 !?!? dang..Idk if this program is exactly right more me (since you probably need to know ALOT about coding than just basics..) but....

If anyone is buying this and knows what they are doing, I'd like to contribute as I make Music, do sound design, and graphical designing with images and video. But I dont know much about coding. I've always wanted to learn kinda tho..

Well, like I said, if anyone is buying this, contact me if you want some help/content in your work.

Waiting for my voucher to get to my .edu address. Can't wait to play with this.

BrianG2464d ago

Just signed up, now the wait begins.

Funny thing though is the Terms and Conditions are old. I was reading to see how long it would take to get the voucher code (2-5 business days) and it said the program begins on May 10, 2011 and ends June 30, 2011.

Well.... Maybe it's only funny to me.

They probably meant for it to be out earlier but the PSN downtime fiasco pushed it back and they just never bothered to update the page.
