Too Late For GoldenEye 007 Reloaded?

GamersGameplay: GoldenEye for the Nintendo 64 has to be on many Top 10 FPS Lists. I don't know of any fellow friend or gamer during that era who wasn't an avid player. From those infamous Golden gun matches or the brave and bold "Slap" fights, the game was one of the best. Activision recently announced and debuted a trailer for a "remake" of this classic, and my heart is split into two. One half of me really would love a great game to come back and shine in the spot light while the other wishes they would leave a classic alone and let it rest without disgrace.

Unless it launches at $40, it'll tank.

$40? This is an Activision game we're talking about.

just take a look at the forums of GE:R at gamespot, I don't see this port being profitable.

on a side note the author is talking as if GE:R is a "new" remake of ge n64... Im not sure if he gets that its a port of the wii title, so what you see in GE:Wii is basically what you get.

Hopefully it will be more than a port of that title. Not sure exactly what features or anything that will be added.

they will prob expand on the online components, which to be honest was never that compelling in GE:Wii(aside from golden gun mode). So just imagine the singleplayer and split screen with bump-mapping, a steadier frame-rate. Which is good, because the singleplayer in GE:Wii was amazing, and the split screen was fun.

Being a fan of the original goldeneye 007 for the n64, I will be this up in the future.

Wii version was awesome! This will have better graphics, which is not a bad thing :)

I know I don't want to buy it. This isn't really goldeneye, they changed the story and the game. It is only goldeneye in name.
