Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica HD Release Dates Announced

Capcom's considerable presence at Comic-Con 2011 has mostly revolved around two major fighting games - Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Street Fighter X Tekken. Today, during its Resident Evil panel, the publisher gave fans of the Resident Evil franchise a bit of good news - specific release dates for Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD.

Resident Evil 4 HD will be available on September 20. Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD will be available on September 27. Both titles will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand and PSN.

I love RE lore. I used to have RE4, but I never owned Code Veronica or RE5. I'll get this and RE5 eventually..but I will buy USED so I don't support Capcom.

from this point on will be used i will go out of my way to buy a used for 54.99 and support gamestop before i support capcom anymore

at every chance they get they rip us the gamers off with these spin offs and on disk locked dlc

dead rising 2 west story

how many god damn SF and MVC editions do we really need?

how about you make some damn games we care about no wonder why so many of the devs who have been with capcom for more than 15 years are leaving them for other publishers

get ready for this:

So agreeing on this.

Either reboot the franchise Tomb Raider style or develop a new IP that you can be proud of or GTFO.

CV kicks ass mate. And 4, 5 is alright too, nothing special though like the other two. I will pirate or buy used. Who knows when the time comes. In fairness I don't want to support either Capcom or gamestop

Is this coming to retail or not?

@ thanks for the info, I guess I have no problem with that ill just buy them individually them :P

criticalkare2282d ago

Nope, only in digital form only Japan I believe is in getting retail release.

LOGICWINS2282d ago

I wonder what the price will be for each game. Anything more than $15 each is unreasonable.

Blacktric2282d ago

They said they were aiming a lower price range and that's why they had to distribute it via online instead of retail. I'm thinking 20 dollars max. But they'll most likely be 15 dollars.

vilnwv17012282d ago

I agree with you whole heartedly, used games best way to go anymore with just about any company.

ElementX2282d ago

So if you were a developer would you want half your customers buying used and dipping into your profits?

Any word on Move support for RE4?

I have the GC, PS2, and Wii versions already. Move support might make me buy it for the fourth time.

As for Code Veronica, I own the DC, GC, and PS2 versions.

Guess I can't complain about the nonstop milking from Capcom when I continue to support that milking...

ReservoirDog3162282d ago

It would make so much sense for it to have move support too...
