Death By Robots - Feature: Psyching yourself up for the big game

Ryan Syrett @ DBR writes: Possibly one of my favourite types of gaming experience is immersion; it’s a bit of a sought after, over used safety blanket of a word, the likes of which Peter Monoloux dishes out swinging on his bell tower while hyping up his next let down. But the word and it’s meaning does exist, and it can come from many places; be it a rad online gaming experience shared with friends, an intense racing/sports game that you get so into you feel at one with the console, or it can come from games so big and oozing with story you cannot help but get drawn into its world. I don’t want to pigeon-hole game ideals but the latter statement generally involves the good old fabled RPG.
