iGG: LIMBO PS3 Review

iGG: A year ago, Limbo was released to universal critical acclaim on the Xbox Marketplace. Now, the game is readily available on the PlayStation Network and we over here at iGG finally get the opportunity to try out what was called one of the greatest games released last year. Limbo is a puzzle-platformer that has a young boy awaken in the middle of a dark, dangerous forest in search of not only an escape out of this dangerous environment, but also for his lost sister. Clocking in at around five to six hours, does Limbo provide a worthwhile experience in this short amount of time?

I absolutely love this game for its art direction and overall ambiance.

An interesting looking game. I might get it since I get a discount through PS+. It's good to support unique titles like this. That's why I've got Heavy Rain and Flower. These types of games are a nice change of pace from the usual CoD. I'll also be picking up Journey when it comes on PSN.

Why would I support devs that CHOSE not to give me the game on release date and instead release it later at a higher price just cause they wanted a deal from someone else?

I'd rather not buy their game and save my money for better games from devs that won't give the shaft to the console I own.

If the devs that made Limbo end up going bankrupt or w/e then it's their fault for their decisions, not mine for choosing not to download their game over a better one. I'd rather buy the FPS if it meant that it comes to the console that I own at the same time as every other place rather than delaying it for some deal and then coming back to try and get cash from me later on for something I already lost interest in.

What do you mean they didn't choose to give you the game on release date? The release date was June 19th and it came. Oh wait, do you mean why didn't it come out at the same time as the 360 version? Because its a tiny independent studio with limited resources and its unable to do too much at once.

As for the higher price its $15 as well on 360. So no it isn't a higher price, its the same exact price. The devs didn't have to go through the trouble of adding a little extra content but they did.

Inform yourself before spewing ignorance.

Wonder how anyone could disagree with you. I think this will be a great addition to my PS3's library, if only to support this great "independent" dev. I've always admired this games art style and will be picking it up on PSN in due time.

Just bought the game after playing the demo for the PS Plus Price, without hesitation.
