[GAMINGtruth] Captain America: Super Soldier Review

GAMINGtruth's very own Greg Bargas Reviews Next Level Games' Captain America: Super Soldier multiplatform release based on the Captain America film.

In his Review of the new release Greg writes:

"Captain America: Super Soldier gave us more than it’s predecessors in the genre. There was better combat, moderate replay value in the exploration and great action sequences.

The game also suffered from inconsistent graphic quality and a squirrely camera that might literally drive you nuts."

For some reason I really want this game.

Interviews with game developers (staff) are good to read. They can give more reasons to make a purchase.

"We still set the story in the same region and time period as the movie, but we were free to tell our own story. We created the game-flow first and then Christos Gage came on-board and wove an awesome story into the existing flow, adding a roster of villains from the comic books." - Next Level Games

Collected Comics of Captain America. Actually, I had a lot of comics. But you can only count on the Batman Games. They are amazing.

I wouldn't go that far. Xmen Origins Wolverine wasn't bad (minus the platforming).

Also, unlike some commenting in the review threads, and I am not singling you out, I have played the game. Not all the way through but I have started it and am enjoying it. The 3D is as Destructoid remarked, some of the best ever.

Yes, I know what you mean. Wolverine was not bad. But compared to Batman it was not half as good. I have not played CA. I can't tell you if it's good. But from what I've seen it's just another average superhero game which will be forgotten very soon.

seriously whats the point of reviewing movie based superhero games if they all suck? thats why Arkham city and arkham asylum are amazing games because they are not movie based

It actually wasn't that bad. There were times I was really having fun, but the distraction of graphics and other mishaps were things that made me shy away from giving it a great score. I'll post and link the vid of the bugs I caught if that helps?

What is even more astonishing is that I've never played any of the recent batman games. There was no comparison of combat system, but even so, I don't think I would have compared it anyways because it is totally separate.
