Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Review @JustPressPlay

Every now and then I come across a franchise that I eventually become addicted to. But there are times that I also ignore certain franchises. Just completed my first playthrough and I must say I agree wholeheartedly with this review. After the metropolis level from the demo, the game just takes off completely. The variety is there at just the right spot to break up the flow of blowing up everything. At first I thought things like the grind rail wouldn't get enough use but they all do, equally and very well.

It also has some of the most well implemented Sixaxis controls yet like Folklore showing that it can be more than just a tacked on gimmick. I wish Lair responded as quickly as the Robo Wings in Ratchet does. It's seriously the best platformer I've played since Mario 64 and the first Sonic Adventure. I can't wait for the next one, Insomniac knocked it out of the park with this one for me no matter what anyone says.
