Like many of the DS and 3DS features, you don't need it, and it's vastly inferior to other aplications/devices. Sound tools, photo editing, cameras, chatting, etc. are all unneeded, extraneous bits.

Obviously they're not needed.

They are nice to have every once in a while, however. I, for one, am sick of Gamers who try to argue that their games and hardware should have LESS features. I'm talking Rainfall haters, Sony apologists, the lot of ya'--yeah, Netflix may be unnecessary, and yeah, it may not be implemented perfectly... but it's far better to have it than not.

And if you don't agree?

You're a horrible, horrible consumer.
