UGO: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare review

Let's just get the grand statements out of the way right now. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare deserves accolades as 2007's Game of the Year, no question. True, there's some tough competition out there, including several as-yet-unreleased titles. But developer Infinity Ward has crafted a dually powerful experience in Call of Duty 4: a topical, varied and tightly paced single player campaign coupled with what is hands-down the best online multiplayer mode currently on the market. Cohering this already potent mix is the game's unparalleled technical achievement in which impressive visuals, dastardly A.I. and carefully crafted environments come together to form a near-perfect package.

UGO gives Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare an overall rating of A.
