There won't be a public Skyrim demo

SystemLink: "Question: How do you distil hundreds of hours of fresh gameplay, stunning experience and player progression into a short, sweet public demo before release? Answer: you don't. Bethesda have decided Skyrim is just too big a game to present in miniture form, meaning you won't get to lay hands of Dovahkiin for some time yet."

That poor guy fighting the dragon. I think it's safe to say that most people already knew that there wasn't going to be one.

newhumanbreed2348d ago

Yea, I don't think anyone was expecting one.

MAJ0R2348d ago

not even sure what the demo of a game like Skyrim could be like

Takoulya2348d ago

@MAJ0R

And MMO-style level-up limit? Lol

Demos for such games would deter potential buyers rather than secure them. Start at a low level and the game will be too boring for a demo; start at a high level and the game will lose the freshness of the progression.

Lol There will be on pc! I want demo.. I trust no dev but Dice, Valve, Paradox & Tripewire..

Ricardoportillo042348d ago

people shouldnt need a demo for this game...i mean we already have alot of info on the game to make you want to buy this game...

rabidpancakeburglar2348d ago

Too true. Even if they remained tight lipped on the details until the release and showed no gameplay then I would still snap it up day one because it's an Elder Scrolls game and will be awesome.

Danielmccue2348d ago (Edited 2348d ago )

The elder scroll's games reputation proceeds them, people don't need to try before they buy. They will buy it regardless.

Games like these are the very reason i play games.

femshep2348d ago

good there shouldn't be to much of a tease with the little info they give

Ser2348d ago

This does not change my decision of picking the game up on launch night.
