Okay. Everyone knows that EA today announced that it's to buy PopCap. But why? Here are four very good reasons. Bad Company 2 vs. Zombies anyone?
That picture has made my day.
What reasons do you need?? Popcap are pretty damn successful with what they do. EA buys successful companies and makes them their b*tches. That is, if a) they are successful enough and b) they somehow fit into EA's vision of a rape-worthy company. Happened before in the past, will likely happen again in the future.
'EA buys successful companies and makes them their b*tches. That is, if a) they are successful enough and b) they somehow fit into EA's vision of a rape-worthy company.' That made me chuckle, have a bubble. I was just wondering, in the event of a nuclear holocaust which cockroach would be most likely to survive: Activision or EA?
Lol this made me laugh "I was just wondering, in the event of a nuclear holocaust which cockroach would be most likely to survive: Activision or EA?"
Not funny. Not useful. Not, I hope, serious. What kind of article is it?
hmm yeah, it seems more opinionated than an article
Yea I may be too serious but the joke was lost on me. This article was a waste of time and tried too hard to connect the companies with their respective IP.
. Just another sign that casual gaming is becoming a BIG threat to fully featured games. Look how much investment ( READ: MONEY ) these little garbage games are attracting. This shows that the profit margin is astronomical on these useless time wasters. No story, no mo-cap NO ANYTHING. I understand Disney spending big in this area as their entire demographic lives in an APP world but when you see a company as big as EA dropped almost a BILLION dollars on one company/dev...0_o...then you know what's up. Worth mentioning is now you will have to sign your life over to EA to play one of these " apps "
Uhh they bought it to make money...duh
They sell digital games & EA wants to be king of digital but can't.. not for the hardcore crowd anyway..
Future Popcap Games going to not appear on Steam i guess :P
