360 Magazine: Microsoft’s 2011 E3 offerings may not have set the world on fire, but there was one nugget of information which hinted at the future of Xbox Live and could potentially help shape the platform.
this site pushes flamebait every week. They're like the Adrian Durham of the gaming media......not sure of his American equivalent but just think of somebody who says things just to get hits and a reaction. Not because they believe what they're saying but because there is a financial gain
looks like they don't give a damn about their reputation
Lol Steam craps all over any network out there. Its free has cross game chat Has text chat Has cross game voice chat Can bring up a real web browser just by (ctrl+tab) Dedicated servers are a given the list goes on.
And you judge that based on what? A title. Claps.
just like i can guess you aint very bright from that post alone . How often do decent sites use flamebait titles ? Hardly ever
No jimmins. Check out some of their article in the last month alone. Not only that but their members come her and comment. Nothing wrong with tht but ive seen members straight trollin...not professional imho. Tabloid stuff but it shows that fanboys can and do occupy places of importance within the inustry's media. All sides but from what i can see the western media has a higher number people who champion the 360. Kinda like the home team mentality.
Because they charge for something thats free, online gaming for non mmo's! "fist.. bump!" :D
"They're like the Adrian Durham of the gaming media." I hate that man with a passion, only reserved for him and Ashley Cole.
Your either a sheryl cole fan or a gooner If you're the latter then up the gooners Ok...never knew that. Three men two men one man and his mobile phone went to bed with ashley,
Not a Gooner, Leeds fan I'm afraid. He hates us just as much as Arsenal. And Ashley Cole is just an odious little T**t.
Microsoft’s 2011 E3 offerings may not have set the world on fire, but there was one nugget of information which hinted at the future of Xbox Live and could potentially help shape the platform. Conspicuously absent from Microsoft’s conference and later quietly confirmed in a press release was a feature as seemingly simple as it could be radical: later this year, gamers will be able to store game saves online along with their Live profile for quick, easy and remote retrieval. The new feature will also enable players to access their Microsoft points – and spend them – as well as access Achievements and friends lists. “Cloud storage will allow you to enjoy the same great Xbox Live gaming experience even when you’re not in your own living room by giving you the option to store your game saves securely in the Xbox Live cloud,” explains the matter-of-fact announcement. “Gone are the days of ‘gamertag recovery.’ Now all you need to do is sign in, no matter where you are.” It’s being billed as a virtual home away from
These are not new features by any stretch; PC games have offered cloud saves, most notably via Steam, for years and even Sony got in on the act when it launched its premium PlayStation Plus service on the PSN a year ago. But for Microsoft to offer such flexibility to users on what has, in recent years, become regarded as the most insular of the three major online gaming networks is something of a surprise. The platform holder cites customer feedback as a reason for the sudden introduction of cloud features, but there’s no denying that Microsoft has, in a small number of areas, lagged behind its rivals in the way it operates Xbox Live"" you get the jist of it Has nothing to do with title shouldn't have been approved
Yea its soooo awesome that I decided to stay a silver member because its not worth it to me.

What a considered and well researched article. An attention grabbing headline leads through to some truly insightful comment. If only more people could READ IT.
excellent way to promote ur own article!!!! let me go check it out.....
If only your title wasnt crap , i'd bother reading it . it is far more likely that the rest is as crappy , if not your loss because of those silly tactics .
It's your own damn fault that people won't read this Article, your headline pretty much says "FLAMEBAIT!"
You are a douche bag lol
they said MS has a 'better' cloud service than all the rest, and even though PSN and Steam collaborated on Portal 2 MS 'may' be open like PSN one day and may do that also. The author basically made that title JUST because of the way cloud saving works on XBL. He then speculates that 'maybe' MS will include F2P games, and 'maybe' they will support cross platform MMOs like Sony. Terrible article.
your idol in the article picture? or in my avatar?
its NOT free so Microsoft is basically selling their service while sony gives it free. if psn wasn't free sony would be able to invest as much money into improving their network
g a r b a g e article.
He used a flamebait title...but the actual doesn't represent the article.I don't like this technique of gaming journalism. People read the article or this comment section could turn into a warzone!
lol read what? Yes PC and PS3 have cloud storage - but we are XBOX so when we do it matters and makes us more important? crap.
Another exBot idiotic article. Shame they must be bored cause they have very little to do and lots of spare time with the lack of real exBox content.
What's an exBox?
an Xbox360 with an "e" in front to indicate it's long past due for replacement, and Microsoft agreed.
Perhaps you should read more than the title, good sir.
Yes, I'm a 360 fanboy but I still hate the fanboyish title of this article. The article is a great read, though. I guess this is the only way you can get people to actually read your article. Sad...
what an offensive title for the story
Why is everyone so mad at a Title? Nobody remembers that you don't judge a book by it's cover?
Books tend to have a lot of thought put into them. This on the other hand is far from being compared to a good book.
If books covers used that very same tactic , we actually would . And most books are usually fiction , not pretending to be journalist work
yes, but is this title really nessesary? Makes him sound like a complete tool.
It's flamebait, but it's true.
blablablabla. it's a shiat, stop.
I am using Xbox Live, Steam, PSN and Battle.net. It is true, XBL is by far the best service on the market. You pay 4 USD per month, but the service is without a doubt the best experience. PERIOD.
I don't think so , especially when the likes of black ops are still at release price with the games on demand service. Steam ftw EXCLAMATION MARK
I have all the same and been a DAY 1 live subscriber. Live is more about entertainment that playing games on line. If MS let gaming be free on Live... than they would see how great there system is when the mass exodus starts because of free gameplay
Perhaps I'm missing something, but a service that has been evolving since its inception...nearly a decade ago, SHOULD be better than any other service that hasn't had that much time on the market. If it weren't, they'd be doing it wrong. That said, as a household that owns all platforms, I really see nothing outside of cross-game chat on XBL that I'm missing from PlayStation Network, and Nintendo has too much learn to really even be relevant in this conversation. So, considering that the PlayStation Network is four years younger than XBL, and cross game chat is coming with the Vita, well...it now becomes an argument of semantics as to which platform your friends prefer, and which they play on. Really now, is this what we're going to defer to every time this topic comes up?
what sarshelyam said:-)
If only the average age of gamers goes up, we will see less bs articles.
Well I like my movie streaming: crackle, Netflix, vudo, hulu, Sony video; my music streaming: Sony music, qroicity; my sports streaming: NHL tv, mls tv, MLB tv; my games: dlcs, arcade, minis, classics, retail, ranging from established developers to indie; my luxury features: web browser, Facebook, twitter etc. (for free and not pay Sony a fee to access) voice chat, video chat, text chat. This, of course, is my preference and others have their own, but I feel I get a bang for my cash on the ps3. I can also subscribe to psn+ and get lots of goodies!!
You have to pay how much for xbl again? And how much to you have to pay for steam and psn? Point made. (Only difference to psn and xbl is that psn has cloud save and ms has cross game chat (though I hear ms are brining cloud gaming in)
only a 9 year old would write an article with the word crap in it, trying to get desparate hitz. do not support the trashy website or 9 yr old author
Hmm well considering the fact I pay 60 bucks a year to play online, at the moment is seems pretty pointless MS needs make it worth it buy releasing a healthy line up of A to AAA games. Instead of this 4thQ game release stuff, making us wait a whole year for there games to get released like they're games are "sacred" and "special". I love multiplats of course there leading the industry, of course MS console wouldn't have anything else going for it with out them I only own a Xbox but as a fan I want Ms to do more, I don't wanna pay 60 bucks just sit on my Dashboard playing with youtube all day. Now don't get me wrong I love the services releasing this fall as I do every year but I want to play with youtube as well as play the next exlclusive AAA game.
I am 100% sure another Hollow "episode" will be due soon enough.
