Gotta give Treyarch credit, they support the hell out of their games. Map packs and updates are definitely important. Glad they do these things.

You realize the COD games have the largest communities online playing right? Millions of people are playing these games, that means there are millions of chances for people to find glitches and use exploits. Everyone is looking for that extra advantage, the minute the game comes out. So while it can look like they did a bad job with coding or making the game, in reality the COD games have as many issues as every other game released, the only difference is there aren't millions of people on those other games trying their hardest to find them.

They have no choice... Look at what happens to cod games if support is dropped for it. The games become almost unplayable due to hacks, cheating, exploits. Who beta tested these games?? Really I never experience a game needing so many patches to fix bugs/exploits.

Ok look at a MP game that isnt played by a million people everyday. Crysis 2 MP for example. There are probably a ton of bugs no one knows about because barely anyone plays it.

And you obviously haven't tried a Source Engine game like TF2. Well...to be fair that is mostly content patches. But sometimes there are exploits that no one really knows about. If theres a bug in Half Life 2: Deathmatch, Valve patches all (or most) the MP Source engine games they make to prevent further exploitation of the bug in other titles (if they can be recreated that is.)

@motorola

That's isn't a concrete argument as people who stumble or intentionally looking for bugs/exploits is a small percent and usually the same people/group. So it doesnt matter if a game sells a bazzillion copies or just 1 million. It's like gamers like us who voice our opinions or are active in gaming forums we are a small percentage of actual gamers.

When a game releases with so many bugs, there's no choice but to support it, if you want those people to buy the next game.

The MW2 developers (IW/Respawn) would beg to differ. Their support for that game was terrible yet black ops still sold loads.

Counter Strike Source has more players at any given time playing than all the CoD games combined.. but Treyarch does stay on top of things rather well I think.

jaymart2712d ago

Before I read this.

How much cash do they want for the update?

BeaArthur2712d ago

Hahaha, not much, just your first born child.

MasterD9192712d ago

They have been throwing out a bit of these updates...
