In a recent interview, Peter Brolly of Deep Silver discussed the length of Dead Island.
Well that's awesome news, especially if that is only some of the side missions.
But how repetitive is it?
How repetitive is any game? You run, duck, shoot or run, throw, tackle.... Drive around in circles trying to get 1st place.
There can be a time where it's too repetitive. Don't be ignorant of that fact.
If its 30 hours of non stop story telling, action and addictive rpg goodness then this is a MUST BUY, but of course people will do the side missions for goodies and extended play.
Calling BS on this right now.
That's good! But the frogurt is also cursed
Decent length.. but then, do Average Joes even exist anymore..? I don't think so. I believe the game will be a 10-12 hour experience at max, overall.. possibly even lower than that. It actually all depends on whether you can run past most of the zombies & complete your objectives without much problems. Hopefully the devs have made it so that killing zombies is the main priority rather than just a side effort while your making your way through the game.
What do you mean do they even exist anymore? You think everyone is just automatically nice at gaming? There's always gonna be the average? Casual crowd or people who just aren't that good.
I bet I can beat it in less than 10h
so if my hype translation is correct that mean about 6-10 hours? again another stupid zombie game....i'll pass
Damn, you hard are to please. It's probably going to clock in at about 20hours if you're a glass half full person. :) Also there is nothing wrong with zombies.
zombies are over used and boring at this point but devs said the same thing about LA noire and a lot of people beat within 10
True, and i'm sure if you just blast straight though you'll be able to beat it really fast. But I like to take my time and explore every part of a game otherwise I feel like I have missed out. And zombies are adorable. I don't think that I could get bored of them. Although what you say is also true but I cannot say no to L4D for example. But I genuinely dislike Dead Rising. But I enjoyed Burn Zombie Burn. I think if done well zombies are awesome. And Dead Island looks good.
I'm guessing this is including every single game mode
This is an open world sandbox for crying out loud. sort of like crysis but with zombies. I am very hyped for this game and wouldn't be surprised if the campaign is over 20 hours. This game should have been released this summer. There are really no good games out and the only game I am looking forward to is from dust. Otherwise this summer is lack luster :(
