Its good to see the response for this game has switched so much, I know SE get a lot of bad press now, But if peoples opinions on this game have actually been turned then they must be doing something right

Looks really fun with friends. Love the combat.

Abriael2349d ago

It does look fun. Actually better than what I expected.

Troll-without-Bridge2349d ago

Yeah, FFXIV had tremendous potential. I cant wait to see how it turns out.

negroguy2349d ago

Still have it installed since its free. Might have to check it out now.

limewax2349d ago

How did you get it free?

negroguy2349d ago

Just meant since there is no subscription fee for it at the moment. Bought it when it released and havent played in months.

limewax2349d ago

Ah right, as if they still haven't switched it over to pay to play. Hmmmm... wonder if it will end up staying F2P after all this time

ps3 version cancelled?

Abriael2349d ago (Edited 2349d ago )

actually the game director talked about it during interviews no more than a week ago. So no, it's not canceled as far as everyone is aware.

If it was, he would be all hush hush about it.

kevnb2349d ago

ic, it would probably be best as an easy to run pc exclusive game... but nobody seems to game on pc in japan.

Abriael2349d ago (Edited 2349d ago )

Actually the Japanese PC market is well alive, just a little less "visible" than consoles.

Though the PS3 version gives obvious commercial advantages. It will give the game another chance to shine and to get a good reception with the audience (it'd be even better if paired with a big and cheap launch on steam).

A second launch is something many MMORPG developers would pay an eye for.
