"5 – Familiarity - I’m going to draw a weird comparison here, but have you ever heard of the theory that people always return to the familiar?"

Familiarity breeds contempt, all I have to say on the matter.

I think people keep coming back to this game because of the switchy aming. The aiming in call of duty feels extreemly responsive.

Alot of games these days try to make the controls feel "weighted" but really all that does is make aming harder and less accurate.

I hope some day they get rid of "pristige" and use a more skill based ranking system

I love cod. I don't understand why so many people waste their time in cod articles when they don't even like the game. The forums are full of people claiming that they are given up on cod and moving over to battlefield. Why even go to the cod forums at all if you don't like cod?

Yeah, I enjoy CoD as well. I really don't understand the hate.

That said, CoD will take a back seat to Gears 3 this coming fall/winter!

Yeah I was amazed at how much fun the gears 3 beta was. I played gears 1&2 online a little bit and thought it was OK, but the beta for 3 really surprised me.

I enjoy CoD as well. I'm not big on multiplayer (I'm not very good at it) but the campaigns are always enjoyable. I know that I never have to worry about not getting into an online game as well. I know that I could improve if I just play more.

Call of Duty is fun. Complain all you want about the silly stories or the way it's being milked. It's simple and fun to play, and that's more than can be said for a lot of shooters.
