RipTen: Since receiving this headset, I haven’t gamed without it. It has forever changed my use of a wireless headset from something that I would use late at night when I had to be quiet, to a gaming essential.

I still have my X31 which was $99 when I bought it. I just can't justify spending $250 on a headset. Even with my P21 for my PS3, combined they both cost less that this PX5.
Turtlebeach has been perfecting it since the gate. I'm glad they finally got it to perfection. Justifying this purchase will mean buying my wife expensive purses along with some fancy shoes.
Astro's 5.8GHz wireless system are better they simply have a superior and spectacular native performance. The Turtle Beach Ear Force PX5 lacks in overall tonal performance not to mention that for achive a perfect configuration (that still cant beat the Astros) you will need a large time investment to download and install custom presets and see what better adapts to your likings or the game.
Astro's vs PX5 debates are terribly subjective. I've heard people complain about Astro quality, heard people bash PX5's audio, etc.
In the end, the Astro's are not as wireless as the PX5's, and the audio presets are great for different games (ie. Killzone 3 sounds great with bass, Uncharted with high treble, etc.)
Just got mine in the mail. Amazing.
