Alexander Marschall, Crytek's community manager, announces Crytek's official support for MechWarrior: Living Legends:
"Today we proudly announce the fourth and last chosen Crysis pre-SDK modification. It is called MechWarrior: Living Legends and will get supported by Crytek during its development."
MechWarrior: Living Legends is a total conversion modification for Crysis and a mix between a FPS and a simulation. Players will be able to pilot BattleMechs, battlesuits, hovercrafts, tanks, VTOLs (Vertical Take-Off and Landing Aircrafts) and other vehicles as warriors from either "The Clans" or "The Inner Sphere" in multiplayer missions.
and since Crytek is making it, i have no doubt that 1. it'll look AMAZING, 2. it'll play well and 3. it'll be big budget and high profile.
i forgot which version i used to love mechwarrior 4 or mechwarrior 2..
so this will end up with either Microsoft putting a stop to it, or Microsoft wants a piece of it.
Microsoft washed their hands with the last version of mech. It is still alive only because of the community and the efforts of modders like Mektek and such. MS may not put up a stink seeing how this would be another game to promote DX10.

EDIT: Here is a link about the MS legal questions:

because if M$ koboshes or even gimps this game im building a mech of my own and parking it on Bill's house.
Now we only need the Black Mesa Source team to chage their project to Black Mesa Cryengine 2...and I am in heaven XD
oh and ea DICE you wil be owned!!
LONG LIVE THE CLANS.
My experiance so far with Vista is that it's will be like all other Windows. In about a year or two when all the kinks are out it will be like all other Windows, on everyones computer. Hold off for a bit till there is more support, XP will do fine till then.
It will take time -- of COURSE. People arent going to throw out their perfectly good PC just because they want Vista. And, not everyone is going to go buy a retail copy of Vista.
This is exactly the way transitions between major versions work for all software. It is totally, 100% normal and expected.
That said, I've been running Ultimate since Day 1, I've never ran a better OS in my life. And, I've run them all.
