Skyrim, RAGE could hit Vita, Wii U – if they prove a “good fit”

Bethesda “want to make our games available to the widest audience possible on whatever platforms that will support the game” – and while Wii “wasn’t even an option”, games such as Skyrim and RAGE could see release on the Vita and Wii U if their technical capabilities prove a “good fit” for Bethesda’s ambitions. (Bethesda Softworks, PS Vita, Rage, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Wii U)

If Skyrim releases for Wii U, I`ll wait for that. Or else it`s pc for me.
Ness-Psi  +   1460d ago
same for me. I'm also waiting to see a few other games on Wii U as to weather I'll wait, Arkham City and Metro last light.

A whole year extra??? Just get it for PC!
BlackIceJoe  +   1460d ago
Skyrim on the Vita would be awesome. I would gladly pick that game up on the Vita.
Drake_Seraphim  +   1460d ago
Me too!

and it would be great to transfer game saves between the PS3 and the PSV, that would make it a day one purchase for the PSV

This would be a reason I would pick up the vita.
matey  +   1460d ago
Vita version why no 3DS that thing does DX10 like shaders the 3DS should get these games too
Titanz  +   1460d ago
Really?
I had no clue.
SpitTake  +   1460d ago
that doesn't mean anything when the whole console can't play the game what so every
MasterCornholio  +   1460d ago
The reason why they don't mention the 3DS is because it lacks 2 analog sticks and the hardware cant handle a game like Skyrim. Mind you the Vita version wont be as good as the PS3 one but it will still run on Sonys portable.
pain777pas  +   1460d ago
The thing about the vita that even if a game runs at a lower res which will be weird and I am trying to think of a wide screen resolution that the devs could use on the device that is not 4:3. But for argument sake won't a 480p look great on this machine? The answer is yes! The screen and lower resolution is the key to Vita success.
MasterCornholio  +   1459d ago
From what i have read. Even if the resolution is SD on a screen that small it will appear HD.

3DS sucks, just admit it, lets see 3DS lite tho.
Iroquois_Pliskin  +   1460d ago
sorry, Skyrim would Never run on 3DS
DanSolo  +   1460d ago
If I had a reason to be using Vita alot, like commuting to work, or off travelling somewhere for a long time, or a job that involved sitting around doing nothing for hours... then Skyrim would be an awesome game to get for it.... so I hope it does come out in case I ever feel the need to have it while on the go....
Hozi89  +   1460d ago
I hope they bring Rage and Skyrim to Vita. Wii U may get and updated version with extra features and better visuals...I wonder if the graphical diff. would be noticeable from PS3 version?
consolez_FTW  +   1460d ago
If I could bring an open world RPG like Skyrim on the go with me to work...WE need this on the PSV NAO!

Would love to see how they would utilize those games on the WiiU.
Would there be any major game differences things that would greatly improve game play just because of the two screen functionality.

Only time will tell....

*Blasts off*

Sadly it won't happen.

That be sweet to have rage and skyrim on vita.
iceman2885  +   1460d ago
Really if you have a quality PC and there is no multiplayer element tying you to friends on a given system (and I believe there isn't for Skyrim), then Skyrim should be a PC purchase.

I'm not saying the PS3 and 360 versions won't be good, just that the best version of the game will be PC.
dredgewalker  +   1460d ago
I'll most likely get it for the pc too. Played Oblivion on the PS3 and it felt unnatural for me to use the joystick since I had it first on the pc.
matey  +   1460d ago
Look these games can run on 3DS if crytek says 3DS is powerful enough to run crysis/cryengine then these games can aswell wow im still hoping crytek port there goodness to 3ds it was rumoured.

WOW Skyrim on Vita? Imagine using a Dragon Shout and literally having to shout into the Vita mic lol
meganick  +   1459d ago
Having a competent port of a game like this on Vita would be amazing. It would also be interesting to see how they'd use the Wii U controller if Wii U gets this game.
