Bethesda “would look to support” motion controls in their hardcore games such as the Elder Scrolls titles – if “it does something we can’t already do with a normal controller.”
Please, please don't.
If it is an optional feature, I don't see the problem.
Exactly. Buy since most people on N4G hate Kinect, they don't even want to hear its name alongisde Bethesda. I'm also fine with it as long as it's optional and won't force gamers to buy it to finish a quest or get special items and delay the release date of course. We've waited long enough.
Or they could spent time to polish game more and make it a better game,..
Lol @ the disagrees Since when was an optional feature a bad thing. Look at Gun smith in Ghost recon for example.
having kinect as an "optional feature" isn't a bad thing at all. but you have sonyfanboys upset that kinect is getting so much love by other dev's and the same isn't happening for the move. now think about this move is used as an "optional feature" for games that support it. yet every sonyfanboy will praise it because it's optional. yet they swear kinect is forced on people even when the dev's explain is only a option to controllers or a hybrid game. sonyfanboys are the most hypocritical fanboys of all time
@ break Sense some 360 guys said the same to discredit ps movve. yeah like you vega, kinect doesn't make sense in this game because moving, casting spells ,sword play would be weird at least ps move could work as shown by way they demoed it the navi controls the spells and movement ,move controls the spells.

what 360 fanboy's try to discredit the move. please provide a link to your BS. cause i've yet to see any 360 owner say anything about the move other than it looks like a dildo and they stole the concept from nintendo. all i hear sonyfanboys like yourself claim how retarded someone would look flailing their arms around to kinect. but you don't think you would equally as retarded flailing a dildo with a light ball on the end of it. but that's not retarded looking because you have something in your hand that resembles a penis right? right
http://n4g.com/news/782471/... oh look, people trolling move..thought it never happened ¬_¬, yeah, goes both ways....hol up a sec....is that YOU vega;) Fact is move is better for current games whether its an alternative or stand alone. Kinect not so much. It cant be used as an alternative for 90% of game genres right now. Whether it ever will be able to is another question and time will tell so no point speculating. Kinect is better for games built from the ground up but you have to be blind not to see that they are simplistic. At least be honest with yourself. Dont worry about haters because there will be some but just be honest. Most kinect stuff is simple and the other half is on rails...Im not saying it isnt fun or intuitive or doesnt sell im just saying its for simple games as of now. No killzone or socom type integration. You may not even want that type of experience but by NOT having those it limits kinects application.. As an add on to pad controlled games kinect has more potential in my opinion. Head tracking and gestures could add fun mechanics to existing games. Haters and doubters/skeptics are different and should NOT be bundled together.
I do see it as a problem if its optional. Waste of human thought, brain cells and time. Plus the map will be 1/3 smaller because of all these issues above. Yeah I see no problem either. As Ikram said Please, please don't.
It would be awesome, and very very nerdy, if you could wave you hands in a certain way to cast certain spells! :D But as long as it is optional obviously. Gotta have options :)
Just don't delay the release!
Support ps move.
Fallout 4 better not be on rails. Or the war is going to face a real nuclear Holocaust
SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM
will suck if it is like oblivion
All hail SKYRIM!
The only thing I could see making sense would be looking/creating weapons, potions, etc. like what UbiSoft did with Ghost Recon Future Soldier. But when it comes to gameplay? Hell no.
spell commands to que up a spell I think would fit nicely into gameplay don't you?
The only thing that makes sense is spells with words..actually nevermind its in dragon language or something.
Actually this to me makes the most sense. Spells clearly are a natural and I think easier integration for Kinect. Todd Howard talks about how you learn in game how to say the dragon speak and utter the spell...well I can't think of something more immersive than having to learn how to dragon speak. que up a spell via voice to use would be pretty awesome...you could still manage it via menus and button mapping for those without. It certainly would open up the spell book more than limiting to the buttons or a radial dial. Need fireball? Say it...need dispell magic...say it. This is the one type feature that would be similar that is in Mass Effect 3 I look forward to. Kinect voice recognition is easier to implement for devs than creating their own voice recognition software and certainly it seems to work better than anything out there. I just dont know how resource intensive Kinect still is? I heard it was upwards of 15% at launch for the CPU but am not sure now with the refinements and updates.
I would love an option for Kinect on a game like Skyrim.
Nooooooo!!! And I own a Kinect. I don't want to see hardcore games dumbed down to support Kinect.
move would make sense
This is kinda what Rockstar Games said when they were talking about the Sixaxis for PS3. Now Sixaxis is pretty much dead...
In my opinion, I'm pretty sure the Kinect / Move would dumb down the overall experience. I don't even want peripherals as an optional feature, because you KNOW that the devs will tweak things in the game to accommodate the peripherals. No thanks.
i think could be pretty awesome... i would head tracking in every first person game.... @Why o why regard the stupid war kinect vs move....r two different type of hw...and developers seem to prefeer the kinect ...(at least for how many games r using it!)....well and for how much kinect sell...also users seem to prefeer it...:) so better or not...one win..one lose.....u know who
Ermmm aey, not sure what your saying there but its something about devs preferring kinect. For real, didnt know that well you show me when these guys make their games and all that cause i see both getting supported. On the move side there's virtua tennis to tiger woods and obviously 1st party games like socom, mag and that. Each will support different types of games as there is no kinect support for both of the 3rd party games ive mentioned. Im sure there's more and im sure there are some that support kinect and not move but you'll have to show me those. To that Winners and losers part...ok kid, how much money you make, what none, oh....jog on
look i got the ps move ..and its good....there arent a lots of MOVE GAMES..im waiting for sorcery ..that i think will be the first real MOVE title..with sport champions for all the others...i dont see anything that could let me play without the normal controller.. u can say that kinect oriented title r shits...well ..i wanna be honest yeah the first titles was really SO SO...but there r more title just for kinect than just for move..third party games...use it in a bad way..(both system) i hope forza 4 will show how to introduce kinect in hardcore games..without turn them in casual games........ u must admit..10 millions of kinect sold...r a world guinnes ...and this is a fact.. i remember the words of patcher http://www.destructoid.com/... now if u smart and i suppose for granted that u r....u will know where developers will go more for.....more than 10 millions of units..or less than 4? when big developer like crytek work like a FIRST party for a game designed just for the kinect...it should sound for what i was trying to explain.. sorry for the english ...anyway i have no more bubble to answer u :) so see u on another thread :D ps. virtua tennis...i played it..and lol the move version of the game (very different from the main game) ...is more than casual....i hope u know it..
I'm not sure about Kinect (although they should still do it if they can)... but it could work really well with Move! But if they can implement it in both systems then that would be cool for everyone.... and as it's just an optional extra..... no need for the motion control haters to get all worked up about it!
Which it doesn't. Moving on.
if its an OPTION then who cares if its added or not ?
