EuroGamer - Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception: Beta Impressions

EuroGamer - There's a twinge of disappointment when you first start up Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode. It's the feeling of over-familiarity: the layout of the menus, the experience bar marking the progression of your ascent through the ranks of your online career and the emblem editor. It's the perk (sorry, booster) slots in which you assign upgrade bonuses that decrease your character's sprint recovery time or allow him to run silently in order to avoid detection and so on.

Eurogamer did a lot of unneeded complaining.... so what if they borrowed a couple of things from Cod...

That's exactly what the writer is saying...so what, it's awesome...

"So while Uncharted 3's multiplayer template may be borrowed, the content used to fill it is endlessly fresh and vibrant."

Pls read full article, it actually praises the beta! U3 day one for me!!

@Stealthdawg
I agree with blusoops, they may have complained but they explain why and go on to compliment what Naught Dog have done. so if you read it I'm not quite sure what your point is.

I definitely agree that Naughty Dog should ditch the Call of Duty template for the menus, perks and progression system. Uncharted 2 was great and doesn't need to borrow from Modern Warfare.

I don't care for Call of Duty. I enjoyed UC2's multiplayer, but I'm enjoying UC3's beta even more. That's all I need to know. The menu is overly cluttered, but the gameplay is sweetness.

What's wrong with having the most user friendly layout for the menu? I really like the new layout for the uncharted 3 beta ;)
