"Yesterday the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 that the Californian ban on sales of video games to minors does not comply with the first amendment. This puts a cap on the six year struggle against this law that started immediately after the bill was signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2005. With this ruling, the Supreme Court admitted that video games were expressive and were thereby bound by the same security enjoyed by the Grimm Fairy tales, Shakespeare and Bugs Bunny. Or in other words, that video games were art."
