LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule is "stepping away" from their famed franchise for a shot at something new, Executive Producer Siobhan Reddy has stated.
Its ok there's still a community making stuff and i doubty a 3rd itteration would be what a good move atm wounder what they will try next O_o
Media Molecule are partly responsible for the InFamous 2 user created content, I think they're capable of attaching this 'Create, Play, Share' to just about any type of game. They're bloody good!
New ip probably.
it's a step every dev house take, i hope they are successful in their new projects, unless it's another shooter ¬¬
I'd welcome MM making a shooter. At least then they may adapt their Create, Play, Share model to the game and let us users create our own maps, etc and do away with all this DLC crap we get with every FPS.
You are probably right. Their next game will be ambitious to say the least. A shooter or first person action game would be interesting.
Honestly, like Apocwhen stated, I'd like to see what MM could do with a shooter. I know the genre is overdone, but I honestly want an FPS that has an incredble and engaging multiplayer that'll keep me busy for a while. Killzone 3 is probably the last to do so. Battlfield Bad Company 2 as well...
Good, you don't want to get stuck improving the same concept but do something new as a studio.
I hope whatever they produce next is as fresh and innovative as the LittleBigPlanet franchise! It truly was a shining moment for this generation, for me.
I hope their next title is a new IP under the Play.Create.Share banner, and that whatever it does integrates with LBP in some way.
as long we see sackboy again in lbp3d i will be happy or see a lbp for ps4 wow what would that be like lol Scan objects around the world with the vita and put them in the game hehehe
I hope they make an epic RPG!
@Ness-psi That's a good idea
maybe sackboy`s still be in the new ip. good luck Mm. looking to hear more about youre new projekt in the future.
Better not use them as your go-to casual studio. Nothing 'Move' please.
So i guess Little Big Planet 2 is the end for now @Redempteur I guess we still have the Vita version, but i was referring to the PS3 versions
well there is still teh MOVE patch for LBP2 and the VITA version ... it's far from it being over
These guys have a ton of talent and creativity, I am sure whatever they do will be brilliant
this is good news they wanna bring out fresh titles instead of sequel after sequel
It's good that there not just milking Sackboy since he's so notorized.
I can't wait to see what they do next!
Thank god, I dont hate LBP but these guys have talent and it shouldnt be wasted on making sequels of the same game! very excited to see what they can do
