Pitchford: Blade Runner game 'would've been the end of Gearbox'

Speaking in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine - which boasts an 8-page cover story on Colonial Marines - Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford explained that before Aliens' 2008 announcement the studio had a list of dream properties and "got them all."

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU NOT MAKE A BLADE RUNNER GAME?!

What sort of estimate is that for a game based on the single greatest science fiction movie of all time?!

Dude, that'd be a very hard game to make. It's have to be a sci-fi LA Noire and yet still capture the feel of the movie.

I guess it would have been tough for them to improve on Westwood Studios 1997 masterpiece! Loved that game!

I think a Blade Runner game would be tough to make, but if done right also amazing. In some ways the Dues Ex 2 reminded me of how a Blade Runner game could feel.
