Namco Bandai has released yet another trailer for its upcoming DBZ game. Hit the jump to watch.
How many more times do I need to beat Vegeta, Frieza, Garlic Jr , Cell, and Buu?
... but the last couple of DBZ games look horrible with the 'gritty' backgrounds and the not-so-great cell-shading. It looks awful compared to the stunning Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games.
I agree. I wish they could somehow get Toriyama to make original characters for the game with original stories and battles like he did for Dragonball Online. If they did that then it would be a day 1 buy for sure. The characters would be non-canon but it would be cool to have new enemies.
I've been waiting for a good Dragonballz game since DBZ tenkaichi 2 and this seems to be heading in the right direction for me. I just love the artwork although it doesn't dazzle you like the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series its definitely a step up from the crap us DBZ fans are getting since the PS3/Xbox360 era.
when was the last time we had to fight Garlic Jr??? BT3?
How many times must Frieza die? How many DBZ games will still have no blood and gore? How many time can should a franchise be milked?
They need to stop making DBZ games for a while.
Ultimate tenkaichi... better than 1,2,3
IMO Budokai 3 is still the best DBZ fighter out there. In Tenkaichi, it's all mash and spam with little to no combos at all. How can it even be called a fighter with only 1 attack button?
"How many time can should a franchise be milked?" DO you really want to know ???
lol, I guess I don't.
Good release date for me, October isn't filled with games like November is.
is coming in October, and maybe Saints Row the Third. Anyway, unless they finally take a hint and make a DBZ RPG with an open world and explorable environment, I will continue to boycott any DBZ release. They are all the same.
I know Saints Row is November, only other October games I know of are Battlefield and Rage.
I'd just die if they ever make a good DBZ game with open world and RPG elements. Thats all i ever wanted since like forever. It should be alot like the Tenkaichi series with exploratory environments and a good leveling-up system where you can see like physical strength, power level, max health etc.
Exactly. They need to make a open world DBZ RPG for christ's sake! A Naruto open world RPG would be great too.
@ DeadlySpartan I'd been asking for that for the last 10 years. They stopped taking my phone calls :)
They should make a darker than black game.
Besides Arkham City, Rage and Battlefield, Dark Souls and maybe King of Fighters 13 are releasing. Its packed too.
Here hoping for no more field walls and a better camera. That would be a start of course.
they need to go back to the drawing board likes the same
Lets hope this isn't anything like Raging Blast, because if it is....... -_- it will be another DBZ game I won't buy. Because Tenkaichi was the blast out of them all.
Idk the word tenkaichi is back, because people hated the few other dragonball Z games Raging blast and burst limit. If this game has everything that Tenkaichi has,plus.. more online modes like 5v5 3v3 Team online mode etc.. , ranked and player online mode, all effin characters in all series that can fight, balanced, and there more but don't wanna waste time. Then I will buy it, if it's good. Haven't play DBZ games since Tenkaichi 2. SO i hope this is good than Raging Blast and Burst limit.
Last DBZ game I bought was Budokai 3. Might pick this one up.
That was a great game. That game needs an HD re-release.
Tenkaichi was awesome! But its kinda gotten stale now, I just hope they add something that will breath much needed new life into the franchise.
these DBZ games are starting to remind me of COD, we get at least one every year, nothing really new is added, you could play the old version instead and miss almost nothing, the older versions are better it doesn't look any better then the old versions the story is unimportant/predictable/skipab le wow...thats alot of similarities namco, i suggest a DBZ action RPG and lay off the recycled fighters for a few years...and for god sake dont make ANY future dbz titles stop at the cell games, its a blatant attempt at a squeal without much effort
I agree with the posts above, i've been kicking Freiza, Cell and Buu's [email protected]# for over ten years now. There needs to be some newer characters added or something to breath some life into this genre.
if they want us happy make a dbz open world rpg that starts from dragon ball and goes to dbz ending with buu saga i take that back it could even take place before dragon ball starting with gokus father and leading into dragon ball and as time goes on you level up get new attacks -_- in the right hands the game could be taken to newer heights but nope
everything you said is valid/true and what most of us hope for but for these devs its just to easy to make another crappy fighter, the story/fighting moves etc were all done 10+ years ago, instead of making good use of that, like making something fresh with pre-made content, we just get fighter after fighter with little to no change
Can't wait to get this.
this looks awsome i do always wanted a dbz that accualy felt like i was accually playing as the series/tv programe fights went with the moves and speed and powers this looks great but i hope they have proper character voices not fake ones if you know what i mean, and the storyline is just like the show :)
let me create my own character and own special moves
Just make a game like "Legacy of Goku"
these games are always the same story wise with minor upgrades
Budokai 3>>>>All Tenkaichi titles
I agree with you. While the Tenkaichi titles have many characters I always felt that Budokai had the better gameplay and I never got into the camera angle of the Tenkaichi titles. I'm a little sad to see that this is most likely a clone of previous titles just with a bit of a face lift.
I wanna see another bust limit game.
Budokai 3 was the last truly great DBZ game. Infinite World was good too.
