Skyrim's executive producer confirms some details regarding the voice acting in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Oblivion was funny with the voice acting. I don't know how many times a talked to a begger with a noble voice and changes when I gave a her coin
Atleast one thing they did though, was keep the same race as the same voice, so like all the orcs had very similar voices throughout the game. But it was really obvious that all the voices were the same.
Tell me about it
Theres only so many times you can hear a female Dark Elf say "Nice to meet you" in that funny voice before it starts to get creepy
And Zelda has no voice actors only simple grunt and is a better game imo
You have a time machine?
Seeing how buggy and bad games been from bethesda lately its safe to assume the game wont be game of the year material
Zelda is nothing like Elder Scrolls, I don't see why it needs to be brought up.
It's running on a completely different engine.
Live on the present, right now Zelda sucks compared to the old days, and the Elder Scroll games just keep getting better.
Eugh. You haven't played Skyrim. So how could you possibly know? You disgust me.
Nice to hear different voices
They're all clones. Id doesn't mean variation, it means quicker voice recording sessions.
Man I can't wait for this game, I'm gonna ask Santi Claws for this one...............
Wow, that's amazing. I liked Sean Bean in Oblivion. I think he did a great job.
I've been replaying it and he does a fantastic job for Martin. It's a shame about all the other voices though.
So I'm guessing this is 70 voice actors who can do a range of differen't voice's. If your going to pay for 70 voice actors you would pick the ones with a load of talent.
Or they can hire one Nolan North lol
They could always have a easter egg character called Nolan Drake in the game somewhere....yeah Nolan Drake that sounds pretty Elder Scrolls-ish to me <I joke obviously>
I remember playing Prince of Persia 2008 and recognising Nolan's voice straight away, he didn't even make any effort changing it from the usual Nathan Drake voice, was actually quite strange to hear.
Can't fricking wait.
(. ) ( . ) nice article
If it only has 300 hours of playtime then it is smaller than Oblivion. I had 170 hours into Oblivion and I wasn't only about 25% in. I had only done one guild and had not closed a single Oblivion gate.
Everyone at their own pace then lol.
...and I bet you by the time I hit one of those walls where I put down an Elder Scrolls game (don't worry, I always come back in full force a week or so later), I will know all 47,000 lines. Oh, and @Darrius Cole, don't worry, they always say say there is blah blah hours in it, and it's just not true. Oblivion was supposed to only have 100 or so hours...and here I am 560 hours later, still finding it entertaining, and discovering new things! They always make them larger.
Mass Effect 2 has over 300,000. [/troll]
14 to 70? quite the improvement.
