Sledgehammer Games aren't prepared to say how long Modern Warfare 3's campaign is yet - but they're trying to make it "a little bit longer" than previous in previous games.
Sooo 4.2 hours?
I think you could beat MW2 is less than 4 hours. I did in 4 hours at a party ( everyone fell asleep, didn't want to sleep because I had a meet up that day ) so they fell asleep at 4, they woke up at 8 with me throwing a knife at someone then leaving shortly after to meet up with other people.
On what difficulty? I beat it in 7hrs on veteran. You could have a longer campaign but it could be worse. They should trying aiming at quality. MW2 had a good campaign but a bit confusing, COD4 was good and not confusing so that is what they should be aiming for.
Probably average out to around 6 hours would be my guess. Which I dont mind really, COD is mainly about the multiplayer, thats where you get your hours and COD always lacked the 'filler' many games use to pad out their campaigns.
i want it to be at LEAST 8 hours!
Took me about 6 hours on veteren. I guess i could finish it under 4 on easy
10 minutes longer?
What's the point of it being longer if it doesn't make any got damn sense? EDIT: I'm speaking about Black Ops moreso than MW2.
A long FPS campaign can get boring pretty quick. I think Devs have to find that perfect balance between the campaign being fun and fulfilling. Think about it, RPG campaigns are long because you have to level up and there is a whole story to tell in a fantasy world. In FPSs like COD or BF, They are real world stories and there is only so much you could do or tell in a limited time because it's based from real world things.
I feel cheated if campaigns are short.
I'll take a 10 hour campaign, because that's what I really play CoD for. I prefer BF for the MP.
. Campaign length means very little to me as long as the game comes feature rich. MW2 was a fantastic game that kept you entertain from beginning to end. One minute your in a blizzard up in the mountains and then next, your in some slums in Brazil chasing someone down the evildoer and of course the Airport scene. Spec ops was alot of fun and the graphics during all those missions were fantastic. Speaking of graphics...I'm disappointed MW3 seems to have gone to a Grey, trying to be more grittier color palette. MW2 had looked great the way it was. Battlefield 3 is also running the blue, grey and black which gets old...fast.

Because quite frankly all that felt tacked on in comparison to CoD4's story.
Longer credits lol
