343: "arguments" over Halo Anniversary Edition | Gamereactor UK

GR-UK: "343 Industries has been talking the potential of tinkering with gameplay in Halo: Combat Evolved for its Anniversary edition. Dan Ayoub from 343 Industries says that at the Halo Fest they will talk about "tools we're giving the player to maybe change that gameplay, if they want to." This sounds like a forge mode. But wouldn't it be good if you could create a full map?

I don't like the blatant money grab going on in the industry, being lead by greedy Sony and them slapping a shiny clear coat of HD slime on old classics that should be free to begin with.

When all the talk/rumors about Halo Anniversary edition started, 343 studio's said the right's available for download right now in 720p on Games on demand and if you own the original copy, it's backwards compatible...FOR FREE.

Now, I think if there is one game that deserves a remake, it's Halo CE, after all, it was the one game that did extremely well and many say, kept M$ in the console business....BUT...

They should of RE-MADE the entire game from scratch on a new engine following the story, not only Combat evolved but also Halo 2. Combine the 2 stories with a new engine, the Reach engine or otherwise and make it something really special.
