Perfect World Entertainment is pleased to present a DirectX 11 flythrough video for its upcoming, futuristic first person shooter (FPS), Blacklight Retribution, which highlights what PC enthusiasts can look forward to in term of graphics.
Dayum, we've got F2P games that are starting to look better than the AAA console exclusives in the graphics department.
Good to see someone using the dx11 ability in Unreal Engine! I hope this becomes a trend! Seems to be way more support than the days of dx10.. If PC gaming is not getting better and better every week I will eat my own head!
Yea, but console devs have to sweat their way through static hardware to get those fancy effects whereas the PC devs just hump the newer, fancier GPUs. Not really a fair comparison there. The visual special effects look good, but the overall feel is just too familiar for me. Reminds me of neotokyo for some reason, might just be the location though.
the idea of a console is getting more redundant by the day, have you seen what phones and tablets we buy anyway can do? Imagine in 5 years!
Exactly! everything's changing so fast that the next generation of consoles could be the last.
For a F2P game that does look pretty dam good. G onna have to mosey on over to their site and check them out. DX11 is kicking ASS every time and yeh time for new consoles cause it's getting pretty ugly for Consoles everytime we see a DX11 game.
Looks really great for a F2P FPS game!
this game is actually terrible for the PS3 version. It's called Blacklight tango down look it up :). But yea the graphics look very awesome for this version
Tango Down is on PC as well. (...and from what I've heard, isn't all that great on it either) This is a newer game they're working on.
Blacklight Retribution is a sequel to Tango Down
Those big fancy words sure do make PC gamers horny!
It helps when you know what the big fancy words mean ;)
Yeah this game definitely eats every console fps for breakfast.
Have you guys seen this http://www.youtube.com/watc... It's another F2P game, seriously I never realised they could look this good.
