I went a purchased the old DN3D from GoG just to compare as my memory from the PS1 days are a little blurry.
I tell you what the old Duke offers up so much more fun and gameplay elements for something that is over 15 years old.
I even loved Duke Nukem Time To Kill and Planet of The Babes, as well of the older ones but heck.
Sure I am having some fun with Forever. But not enough to warrant the sticker price that's for sure. I was hoping for a re-birth if you will not regurgitation, you could hardly even call this game a DN3D re-heat.
I liked hunting for secrets that where a secret and hard to find. I liked big sprawling environments that where semi non-linear. I like managing my health and armor (who F-ing idea was recharge health?), I liked turning it up to the harder settings and getting bigger badder enemies that where stronger and more aggressive and made the game worth replaying.
Forever lacked everything that made duke games great IMO and I don't like it. It earns its shitty scores and deserves it.
but an F? the game works from start to finish thats worth something. the game isnt broken like other games that dont work like rougue warrior. DNF is playable from a technical standpoint

Hmm I played the demo and it left me saying to my self... Why in the hell did I down load a last gen game? It's not a game I would recommend to another gamer.
