Make a stand out game this gen and maybe we'll cheer you

Abriael1832d ago

He already did, that's why we're cheering for him :D

BrianG1832d ago (Edited 1832d ago )

I agree, but Max probably just wants to change his "liveries", that is more sim than anything.

I happen to like that the creator of a racing simulator actually races.

EDIT: (Forza fans, not saying Forza sucks, but to me that is the only thing Forza has over GT series.)

JellyJelly1832d ago

@BrianG - How about swapping drivetrains and engines?

Goeres1832d ago

You forgot Forzas driving physics, you're closer to sailing than driving :D

zootang1832d ago (Edited 1832d ago )

MAX and Jelly

The Nurburgring has been widened on Forza 3 so I wouldn't go mentioning Forza in a Nurburgring article. GT5 is the real driving simulator where real tracks are true to life.

make a standout comment in this lifetime and maybe we'll bubble you up.

Hahahaha every car is advertising Gran Turismo. I don't think there has ever been any other racing game that has made such an impact in the automobile industry.

Good luck, Kaz. Your ambition is what makes your franchise the best in the market.

Si-Fly1832d ago

Get back to work and give some more premium cars you lazy git...

Abriael1832d ago

Yep, because he's the one designing them one by one in 3D studio right? It's not like he has a whole team working back at home, isn't it? :D

Si-Fly1832d ago

Errr it took about 5 years to make one game so I'm inclined to think it's a small family business, you're trying to tell me there's a whole team of developers?

Abriael1832d ago

That's what it takes to make a game of that size and complexity.

Tr10wn1832d ago

yeah sure that's what it takes to make 200 premium cars and 800 old gen cars, 5 years yeah... Forza 4 "cough, cough"

Anyways i still respect kaz hes the one that get me into sim racing i love all Gran Turismos except for GT5, ill try to make his GTR in forza 3 it looks awesome.

Abriael1832d ago (Edited 1832d ago )

Like the 3D model of the car is really determining on that kind of timeframe (especially when you outsource them like Turn 10 and others do), it's the physical model and depth of content that counts, and that's absolutely top notch in GT5.

We'll see how Forza 4 actually drives, because if forza 2 and 3 are any indication of the physics quality, it will be another "semi-sim".
Personally, I prefer an actual sim like GT5(This without even counting kinect support, that doesn't bode well, as it will use up processing power that should have been used for the actual game instead of on gimmicks).

Si-Fly1832d ago (Edited 1832d ago )

@Abriael : buddy you need to put getting a sense of humour on your 'to do' list, whilst you're at it add a pc and a copy of iracing then get back to me about what a real sim is.

Abriael1832d ago

I have both. The fact that iracing is a good sim (sacrificing basically everything else) doesn't make GT5 less of a good sim.

Unfortunately iracing is too US-centric in both cars and track to be really relevant to the racing world. When I'll want to simulate the world of *american* motorsport, I'll look back into it.

Si-Fly1832d ago (Edited 1832d ago )

Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Spa, Okayama, Zandvoort, Philip island, and upcoming tracks Interlagos,Oran Park, Oulton Park, Twin Montegi, Tsukuba and Zolder .... don't tell me theyre all in America?!

I'm not really a fan of fictional or poorly realised real world tracks but hey, each to their own :)

To the PC elitist, do any iracing gamers ends up racing professionally?
