Check out the newest hilarious multiplayer video of the Uncharted clone
1:03 Was he trying to fart? What kind of animation is that in order to go into chat. If that was one of the developer saying this game sucks then wow.
i know they are a new studio and all of that but making an uncharted clone is only going to hurt them they lack funds and experience and always they'll get compared to uncharted and ND which really hard for far more bigger studios let alone them they should have started small with games on the iPhone and handhelds and maybe PSN/XBL/steam indie games but this is just ... too much
I'm glad the game's getting the attention it deserves.
I just luv the way the charater dies by falling down very slowly after getting shot a few times! LMAO!
This game seriously looks like crap and does look like a PS2 game, just in HD.
@Winter47th not really those websites are making fun of it
i dont expect much from a PSN/XBL game. They are fairly new to the games industry, so they gotta start somewhere right
Ok i think we are being a bit too hard on this guys...Its obviousy they are inspired by uncharted and they dont have the equipments to make a good and better game....If this guys could make a game like this with little funding and no real mordern equipment i think with the right help from a proper dev they can do better in future. But nevertheless this game sucks.
They can *get* that equipment and funding to make a better game by proving themselves as talented and creative devs, not by ripping off other games.
Kinda looks like CS 1.6.
I know every game wants to be as good as Uncharted but this one is an obvious clone that doesn't even come close.
dude, have u seen the gameplay? This is a bad joke. Looks so cheap, shame on these developers.
I support that these guys are trying to push gaming in their country, but please don't sell us something this broken. It's just awful right now, notice how the collisions detection screws the aiming really badly.
yeah. tbh it doesn't bother me that they are ripping uncharted off. what bothers me is how broken it looks. for all i care graphics can be like this, but gameplay/animation needs fixing
Is if for PS2 or a 486DX powered PC? Good effort but it requires plenty of polishing before it can be taken seriously. I suggest not to show this in current state. Not helping at all
lol is this a parody?
wow this is incredible. Incredibly mediocre that is. Nice try though.
They just need some help maybe from a well known developer. graphics looks OK but the animatons are pretty bad, they can't sell this game like this.
Emmmmm did u say graphics look ok!!!! :/
LOL @ 1:11 "This game sucks"
Yeah, I noticed that too haha
Looks oh-mazing! Finally, M$ is making an Uncharted killer.
Quantum theory anyone?
Or some Dante's Inferno?
@ Thekid and Prince at least they (QT and DI) worked right.
O_o wtf is this???
I praise a foreign dev attmepting to creating a game first in their own country, however this is undeniably ripping off Uncharted. Couldnt they have made some sort of fantasy adventure/platformer game instead? Wouldve been helluva lot more creative, and more effort wouldve been put into graphics/animaitions/gameplay, instead of focusing on MP.
lol @ da 1 disagree...Some people do now know sarcasm when they see it...B adding /s for the dumb people online XD
I'm still undecided on whether this game is just someone taking the p!ss or what. The game looks ropey enough without the actual video of the multiplayer stating that the game "sucks", a statement I'm guessing was made by one of the developers.
Not bad for a minis. Because this is a minis, right....?
Not sure if serious.
If this game's sales turn out to be good, it will show other devs that copycats make money.
This one game could very well kill gaming. 7_7
EDIT: Do those disagrees come with replys?
This is the kind of game the Wii fanboys used to push with "Wii dev costs are 1/3rd as much as HD games, so developers should go there". TBH, it looks perfectly fine for a Wii game, or a game with a PS2-era budget. I'm glad devs never did go there. This IS a PSN game, though. I actually find the arabian theme of the game unique, and cool, though. It might actually be worth the price, you never know.
"This is the kind of game the Wii fanboys used to push with "Wii dev costs are 1/3rd as much as HD games, so developers should go there"."
Didn't know "Wii fanboys" liked cheap knock offs (/s).....
"TBH, it looks perfectly fine for a Wii game, or a game with a PS2-era budget. I'm glad devs never did go there. This IS a PSN game, though."
The Wii has games that run >WAY< better than this game.
What's your point?
"I actually find the arabian theme of the game unique, and cool, though. It might actually be worth the price, you never know."
Yes, the arabian part of the name is unique.
However, the devs behind this game >are copying another game.< So not much of this game is "unique". And budget is no excuse, the maker of Cave Story was inspired by Metroid and his game is almost nothing like Metroid. His budget? Not Much. His staff? Himself. These devs have NO excuse.
To stick up for this game is the same as sticking up for that crappy movie, Transmorphers (Transformers knock off).
I still stand by my point. If this game's sales are good, gaming will go to h*ll in a handbasket.
PS: I hope your reply has more to do with my post, this time. 7_7
For all of saying it is a ripoff for Uncharted, I agree with you to a point. However the story they are going with is real, Ibn Battuta is an actual Person with Huge history in that area;I think for them to explore that Universe ( even though their game suck ) is a good Direction. Plus, it is the first real attempt for an Arabic developer to try and make a game for a major console ( even though it is a PSN episodic game ). I will buy the game just for the support. and all of you who says they got the money to make it better, you are just ignorant !!!! If you think you can do better, contact them, I'm pretty sure they will appreciate all the help they can get !!!! Excuse my English, it is my second language :).
Hajji Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Battuta (Arabic: أبو عبد الله محمد ابن بطوطة), or simply Ibn Battuta, also known as Shams ad–Din (February 25, 1304–1368 or 1369), was a Moroccan Berber Islamic scholar and traveller known for the record of his travels and excursions published in the Rihla (literally, "The Journey"). His journeys spanned nearly thirty years and covered almost the entire known Islamic world and beyond, extending from North Africa, West Africa, Southern Europe and Eastern Europe in the West, to the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and China in the East, a distance far surpassing that of his predecessors and his near-contemporary Marco Polo. On account of the Rihla, Ibn Battuta is considered one of the greatest travellers of all time. He travelled more than 75,000 miles (121,000 km), a figure unlikely to have been surpassed by any traveller until the coming of the Steam Age some 450 years later."
to the people who disagree with this, Really !!!! how dumb and ignorant can you be ?!
Although they did try to ripoff the three main characters the story to this game is in fact based on a real person. They're making a game based on a real Arabian Scholar of Islam based in their country so I have no problems with that. You're most likely getting disagrees from people who no nothing about history.
Bubble Up to you, at least you got over the fact it is similar to Uncharted, and recognized the history part as well :).
Or maybe people are disagreeing with him because the story's real-ness isn't the problem here. Uncharted follows a "real" story fairly loosly as well. No one cares about that. The game look HORRIBLE!
Well, thats the thing, we still have no idea how the story is gping to be, all we know it is following a greater scholar than Marco-polo; I think this in it is own should give the game a chance. I am arabic myself, and I have read "The Journy" when I was 12 years old, and it is an amazing story filled with a lot of cultural info, if they follow that alone, it should be interesting to see a game that takes on history as is.
You might be right and it can be just some spinoffs and fictional stories out of Ibn Batutta travel, in this case, I myself wouldn't like it.
It is my hopefull thinking of gamification, using games as a learning source without lossing the elemnt of fun, and thats how I see this game right now. ( if you are interested look up a book called "Game Farm" and you will see what I mean :))
I thought this was a mod for a second when i watching the video, i mean i guess its cool they they were inspired by uncharted but still comes down to the fact that it looks like they really need to work on it. if the story is good then it wont matter how bad everything else is if they sucks then who knows but if they have multiplayer vids then we knew its a split dev cycle more then likely so i can pretty much doubt the story being any good but who knows
I think its a smart move from the small dev. They are getting good publicity which most small devs don't get.
hahaha what a fail. is this a game from n64?
Wait. I feel like this is a terrible idea. Taking one of the most loved games from this gen and making a crappy copy of it doesn't seem like it'll work out. We've seen budget titles that came out good like Deadly Premonition because they were super creative and made the weirdest story ever and were ambitious. So it can obviously be done..... Urgghh.
u stupid this gameplay from unearthed on facebook not the ps3 its under development and wont release like that u can try it http://apps.facebook.com/un...
Ibn Battuta < Buka Pintu.
Wow so I kill a clone of myself in a game that looks like its PS2 graphics. Best part was when they said the game sucked lol
Funny video lol, I love the part when they were chatting and even he said the game sucked
I understand that this is an indie developer but they should have made something within their budget with unique and addictive gameplay(see Plants vs. Zombies). The camera, animations, and everything else look awful. I feel sorry for the "talent" that worked on this.
They always produce knock-offs/pirated goods. Examples: Nikes dvds and now our games. Is anyone actually surprised?
first of all I am Saudi ..
Second I'm not completely agreeing with them , and I consider them as criminals of thought and I wish with all my heart that they go to Prison !
In addition, they Maimed the great story of Ibn Battuta !
this is wrong!
and for those people who say , they don’t have the money and don’t have the support! I just want to tell you that they are Large company !
and just to let you know there are Saudi guy who make a game call shadowfear , took of him to make the game 6 years !
And I try the demo it's nice ! he had no money and no support ! why he doesn't steal any ideas or story or character !
I leave the answer to the thieves.!
By the way the people who want to try the game I'm talking about,I but the link below !
http://shadowfear.com/shado... fear demo.rar
Remember the game is from Saudi guy who has no support !
if you want to support the game industry in the Middle East !
support who deserve !
Forgive me for my broken language !
