Sony PlayStation Vita Delayed; to Roll Out Only in Jan 2012
Bad news for gamers…Good news for Nintendo; the all new PlayStation Vita’s release has, allegedly, been postponed to 2012. The console was previously rumored to reach the masses late this year, somewhere around Christmas.

1. It's not a delay because Jack Tretton said that it would be coming to Japan definitely this year, and to everywhere else by the end of this fiscal year (March 2012).

It would be good for sony to release this year for the holidays for obvious reasons. I hope it comes out this year because I really want to get one. Never thought Id have a desire for another handheld, but the 3ds and vita gave me a craving.
To be honest, I wouldn't be too torn if it was released next spring. The holidays are always killer on my wallet with all the new games and blu-rays release, not to mention gift buying. I could use a little more recovery time.
Regardless, that's a pretty good time to release it. With all these Fall games coming out, spendable cash amount will be running low for plenty gamers. I know I don't like spending too much on games in a short time span. But I also don't wanna wait too long for it.
well i can hope to god that it doesnt come out in november i got too many games as it is to get espically in november so i can only hope a delay happens in some form or another
either way i'll get them all regardless i just want it to be easy on my mind lol

I say bs on this persons guess, maybe its a 360 or Nintendo fanboy that hopes PSVita doesn't show up this year. Heck you can take preorders on the games for PSVita now.

slipping to 2012 could be a problem considering 3DS will have that full year start, a price reduction and a new redesign model. Sony doesnt want to face that.
Sony needs to take advantage of 3DS being average now. Beinv the same price as 3DS during xmas 2011 would be huge. Have a great marketing campaign telling the customers what the vita can do.
This guy is a fucking idiot. SONY didn't even say it was delayed or announce a street date. IT WOULD BE out later this year and no one doesn't know when. I'm still getting my PSVista when it comes out. I smell a fan boy in here
did sony make an official statement yet? if not then aspiring gaming journalists ( because i cant really call them game journalists if they dont even know how to inform people) are only speculating , i will wait for sony to give an official statement on this matter
Its Sony. As much as I love them, look at their track record. No official date means rumors are false, but will lead to a official date. At which that official date won't be met and "delayed" and then a slight delay will follow, and finally the thing will release.
Look at PS2, PSP, PS3...hell look at the PSN outage. It all followed that exact trend, I expect no different here. Either way, got two pre ordered so the sooner the better.
