Dungeon Siege III Review - WorthPlaying

WorthPlaying writes, "Originally created by Chris Taylor, the Dungeon Siege franchise has a reputation of quality among fans. When it was first announced that Square Enix was taking control of the franchise and handing over development duties to Obsidian, there was a little bit of concern that the newest outing may not live up to the legacy of the previous titles. After giving the game a go, it is obvious that any such concerns were misplaced."

thank you obsidian for making the worst dungeon siege game.

I'd at least give it an 8.

Stop looking at games for the franchises they are a part of and judge them individually, based on their own merit.

Well considering it's lacking several standard features for it's genre i think that is appropriate, when it lacks features a $12 psn game has for $60 that's enough to mark it down severely let alone a game from 7-10 yrs ago.

Maybe i am an old dinosaur, but how you people rate this game so high with so many faults is beyond me, play con or sacred 2 for a true dungeon crawler, not this casual dc lite game.

"Stop looking at games for the franchises they are a part of and judge them individually, based on their own merit."

Then i would give it a 5 or 6 for boring combat and a lack of features or poor design choices, as i never played the first 2.

Obsidian could have ripped off features from other h/s games to improve this one and no real hs gamer would have attacked them for it or anything.

I and other gamers were looking forward to a new hs game to build our characters as we saw fit to grind countless hrs and lvls gaining newer and better loot on progressive playthroughs.

Instead we get a streamlined and very dumbed down lite h/s game with a max lvl 30 @12-15 hrs with negligible replay value both in single player and mp with the added bonus of a retarded character storage system online.

I really have question the standards of gamers this gen, with all these high scores and praise this game gets, do you people even have any?
