This is just one map, the one used for the Crysis demo. The entire full single-player game is going to be massive. Notice the beautiful shores, reefs, hills and mountains? Also, the volumetric clouds? Yes, that is only one level.
Well.... Very Very Very Very big. Incredible And there is my own screenshots http://www.enregistrersous.... http://www.enregistrersous.... Wonderful, isn't it ?
Lol, time for an upgrade.
The water looks truly incredible
cant wait to play the full version of this game
does any1 no how many people is multiplayer?
^^ Yes that number was confirmed.
sweet get the hell in there, now to perswade my mate to upgrade his pc.
im loving the UT3 beta, im loving the CoD4 demo, but not the way im loving crysis. i love the open nature of the levels, means you can take it slow or fast depending on how YOU want to play. no other game offers its intensity, when your in the deep vegetation being hunted like a dog by 6 CLEVER opponents, suddenly your 'stealth camo' runs out and they spot you, all of a sudden all hell breaks loose, leaves and branches shake and fall to the ground as the hoard of angry bullets stop at nothing to reach their target, YOU! its truely something else.
Maybe you played a different game. But from what I saw. Graphics were cool. Gameplay was stupid. Enemies clever? Not quite. Computer games are not on par with console games. Yea they may look better for more money which is cool. But the problem is the keyboard does not have as accurate movement. It has way too many controls that make you pull your hand off of something, such as strafe right, that you need. Not to mention that computer gamers are non-social, and typically foreigners who only say "gg" throughout the entire game.
isnt just oahu without the population?
just a shame that I would have to pay at least £600 to run it on low settings. my pc is about 4 years old. (hangs head in shame.) only got 1gig ram and geforce6200. :((((((((((
your pc is what i like to call 'A Paper Weight'... lol £600 would buy you more than you think. go check out.. http://www.overclockers.co....
indeed grinchy, especially with the new 8800gt just bein released there. it has the performance of a gtx at sub £200 cost. Could breeze through crysis and any other game u care to think of. pc gaming is the way to go. just marginally more expensive than consoles but worth it.
KZ2 maps are 2GB, crysis is nowhere near KZ2!!!! BUT i have to admit , crysis graphics looks awesome!!!!
ok, its 2 gig, but 2 gig of what.... ???? And how many gig is Crysis ? just asking. :- )
I believe to install Crysis it is 16 gigabytes. Don't compare KZ2 to Crysis. Crysis is an open sandbox game and KZ2 will likely be a linear Corridor shooter.
When the article mentioned size, they clearly meant virtual area, as in square miles, not disk space. KZ2 hasn't even been released yet. Don't count on press releases either (or Wikipedia, for that matter) for reliable information on an unreleased product, especially one hyped for a Sony console. Also: isn't it BAD for a map to take up that much space? If the developers of KZ2 can't employ quality compression techniques so it takes up less space on the disc, they're just setting us up for extremely long (or extremely frequent) loading times. And who's to say that KZ2 doesn't only have like two or three very long levels, each gargantuan and preloaded segment-by-segment like Source engine games?
I believe guerilla knows about compression, as compression techniques are no secret; they were first introduced early 50s by Shannon. I am not part of KZ2 development team, so I am not sure why each level is 2GB of space, but I am sure if they can make it smaller without sacrificing performance they WILL compress it more for sure. for ur information, Compression and quality are inversely proportional. Crysis map shown here has 4 components (mostly linear, and not dynamic): water+sky+land+trees, compared to KZ2 we have sky+dynamic lightening+ buildings+land+chaotic explosions+detailed building structure from inside+unbelievable number of detailed enemies all over the map. I would like people to admit and stop using this hyped word for KZ2, KZ2 will be a master peice as crysis. so if KZ2 is hyped, I would say crysis is even more hyped. BTW, what does crysis offer in gameplay that other FPS don't?I wonder?
dude i am not a fanboy but get logical get a few bunch of screen shots u will see crysis has better graphics, level designing, better textures , better explosion, better lightning and shaders if u really want to see the gameplay of crysis check the videos i think u get the ur answer why crysis is the best fps of the year
not sure why you responding to a fantard, his post reaks of Ps3 and KZ2 FTW statement, can't you tell.. funny how he post all the main aspects a just another FPS title.. when Crysis cannot, I repeat cannot be done on any console known to man without degration.
but I can't pass on this. This game is one of the reasons why I built a whole new system this past Summer. I can't wait to play this. I will definitely take my time to truly enjoy every inch of every level.
amazing. I am totally getting this game! plus: http://www.dailytech.com/ar...
