WWE Games No Longer Being Made For PS2 And PSP

When WWE '12 was first announced, many fans were disappointed that it wouldn't be released on the PS2 and PSP.

Although an official announcement was never made, many fans have asked THQ several times if there is going to be a PS2 and PSP version of the game from then on.

Creative Director of WWE '12 Corey Ledesma tweeted once and for all that WWE '12 won't be released on the PS2 and/or PSP (PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, WWE 12, Xbox 360)

I'm not surprise seeing as the vita is coming out in a few months and ps2 version would mean more cost to development not to mention how will they address bugs or glitches if it exist in the game for the ps2 version

How will they address bugs or glitches? Dude you just dealt with that crap all those years ago. This is the first age of consoles that allows developers to fix their mistakes, or make the games better after release. However, it should NOT mean that they should be releasing broken games just to get them out quicker, and already have plans to fix them down the road. You see it happening more and more nowadays, especially with Call of Duty, and it's rather sickening that developers are losing passion and dedication.

That's great seeing as how the last few Smackdown games still used PS2 animations.

While I don't personally care for wrestling games, it's sad to think that this probably means the PS2 library is finally ended. I realize all it's really been getting the last 2 years has been the yearly wrestling and sport games, but it's still sad to me.

There's still so much of the PS2 library I gotta experience, but being knee-deep in the PS3 the past 2 years I lack any and all motivation to buy more PS2 titles or even beat the ones I own.

Someday, backlog. Someday. The PS2 deserves me to beat that backlog. I'm probably gonna end up buying a slim eventually, my one and only ps2, a phat from 2001, is still chugging along.
