This is the first time I heard about Capcom's "Dragon's Dogma" and while it looks really cool I agree that its success could trigger changes in the Japanese RPG genre, specifically on how they are being handled to the West. Because then we would have 2 RPG games from 2 different companies that feel like a Japanese game but looks and plays like a Western RPG and many other companies will want to capitalized on that same success too. In the worst case scenario this would mean the death of traditional Jrpg's being localized for the West but who knows...
