Andriasang: Namco Bandai is readying a PlayStation 3 conversion of the popular Saint Seiya manga and anime. Revealed in a two page spread in this month's issue of V Jump, the PS3 game is titled "Saint Seiya Senki" (which could perhaps be translated as Saint Seiya Chronicle).
Day one buy. 7_7
breaking my wallet
I'll admit I'm eying SRW, but at least that's a long running and established game series. This is a "new" IP with unknown game mechanics.
@jwk94:
Its a game that appeals to fans as well as people generally familiar with series.
"Fan-service" is not just about showing boobs.

No I wouldnt import the game, I'm hoping for a western release if it's good. I never got a chance to get into the Saint Seiya series but always wanted to. As I understand it, the series doesn't even have much exposure in the West. Most people, even anime fans probably don't even know what it is. This game might be a good opportunity to raise awareness and interest in the series. Maybe give them a reason to localize it.
Um, actually it and Dissidia are fan-service titles. Its just that unlike the majority of movie based games they have a less than remote chance of being good.
Thought if you're talking about the new Fist of the North Star its up for debate if it was good, or bearably playable.
If you've ever seen an anime called Rounin Warriors, this is very similar.
It's about a group of teenagers that are gifted armors in a place called sanctuary to fight off evil gods and there followers. They call themselves the Athena Saints. And of course, they fight on behalf of the goddess Athena.
It's quite famous in japan obviously , but also in parts of Europe .
It's also the only one of those shonen shows to spawn great manga/anime spin offs (saint seiya G , and lost canvas) , and to feature a great filler story arc for its anime (asgard)
raaaaaaaahhhhh
/be right back , i need to buy another controller , because the last 2 games were ...unique on that aspect /s
